263 rank in Stream 1, the possibility of getting a seat in the SRC Kumbakonam, which is basically Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering, Kumbakonam, basically depends on what course you aspire to take for that particular seat, the aggregate demand, and the competition among that stream applicants for the currently ongoing admission session. Most of the top branches, like CSE (Computer Science Engineering), and ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering), have high cut-offs; thus, you need to have a comparatively better rank to get hold of a seat there. On the other hand, in less competitive or relatively new programs, the cut-offs are low; therefore, your rank could be friendlier to it.Based on historical trends and considering that the cutoff does not dramatically change this year, a rank of 263 in Stream 1 will still have a decent chance especially if you're applying for moderate levels of demand branches. For highly competitive programs, you will need to be flexible and perhaps even entertain the possibility of getting an admission in a branch with a slightly higher cutoff.I would suggest looking up the particular cut-off data from the recent or previous year for SRC Kumbakonam or contacting their admission office to get a better idea of information regarding your rank and seats available.

You're asking about whether the CAT (Common Admission Test) is mandatory for doing an MBA at PAU (Punjab Agricultural University). While I can't give definitive information on PAU's MBA programme requirements, as I don't have access to their specific admissions policies, I can share some general information that might be helpful.Unlike many top B-schools that prioritize CAT scores, it's very unlikely that PAU mandates the CAT for its MBA program. PAU is primarily an agricultural university, and its MBA programme is likely geared towards agricultural and agribusiness management. Therefore, they may have their own entrance exam or other selection criteria that are more relevant to their niche. They might also consider scores from other national level management exams like CMAT.Now, considering your mention of GIBS (Global Institute of Business Studies), if you were thinking of pursuing an MBA/PGDM at GIBS, a CAT score is not mandatory. GIBS accepts scores from various entrance exams like XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, and GMAT. They also conduct their own exam, GIBS AT.If you're specifically interested in PAU, I strongly recommend visiting their official website for their MBA programme details, including admission criteria. Look for their eligibility requirements and the accepted entrance exams. Also, it would be helpful to check the previous year's admission process to get an idea. Do not confuse PAU with GIBS. They are totally different institutes.

Generally, to get admission into Aerospace Engineering in SASTRA University as a non-local student, the minimum marks in board exams, which is Class 12, usually depends on the overall cutoff of the university for the specific academic year. Since SASTRA University does not provide a particular minimum percentage, usually, an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will make one eligible. Admission also considers JEE Main scores or SASTRA's own entrance exam. The higher the score, the better the chances of getting admission as the top branches like Aerospace Engineering may have a very competitive cutoff.

However, candidates can get admission to SASTRA University for various courses except in B Tech course without JEE scores as the university accepts other entrance tests and 12 standard marks. Currently if your AIR is 12000 and TNR rank in stream 2 is 4839, then probabilities depend on the course and branch chosen. Different B.Tech courses are provided in SASTRA University and the intake fees vary between INR 1,60000 to INR 200000 per annum. The university also provides scholarships for deserving students, the best students are offered full tuition fees exemptions. In this case, this means that even if there is a meeting of the eligibility, there is no guarantee of being given the admission.

B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering viz; SASTRA University-Admittance of Thanjavur is purely merit-based, which includes Class 12 marks and JEE Main. While the cutoff goes up and down with years, it is observed that those with better JEE Main ranks and equally good Class 12 marks stand a better chance of getting in. Most often, competitive ranks will be at play, and preference will be given to people with good academic performance. The tuition fees for B. Tech, in general, are INR about 1,50,000 in a year with an increase of about 5%, annually. Accommodation costs differ with regards to the hostel as well as mess fees. One can be able to find the most accurate cutoff details from official sources of SASTRA university.
