Good placements. Good internship support.
Placements: In my course, BE CSE (AI & ML), at Sathyabama in 2025, 92% of students got placed. The highest package is 41.2 LPA. The average package is 5.57 LPA. Internship assistance is provided by the placement cell from the third year itself. Opportunities are available at companies like NatWest. The top roles are SDE and AI Developer.
Infrastructure: For my course, the department has smart classrooms. It has well-equipped AI/ML & computer labs. Campus-wide Wi-Fi is available. Library has digital journals & e-resources. I am not a hosteller, so I cannot personally judge the hostel rooms or mess food. However, the campus has canteens. Medical support is available. Sports grounds, a gym, and games facilities are also available. From what I see, hostel life is manageable. Medical care is easily accessible.
Faculty: For BE CSE (AI & ML) at Sathyabama, most faculty members are PhD qualified. They are friendly & supportive. Curriculum is industry-oriented. It is updated regularly with AI, data science, & cloud computing. Semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is around 85–90%.
Other: I am from the 2023–2027 BE CSE (AI & ML) batch at Sathyabama. I chose it because I am passionate about learning AI applications. Sathyabama offers a dedicated specialisation with strong placement support. The best parts are the updated curriculum, helpful faculty, & hands on labs. Campus life is lively. There are annual cultural and technical fests. The crowd is diverse. Connectivity via OMR is good. Surroundings include beaches & malls. Scholarships are available for merit based & reserved category students. Extracurricular activities include coding clubs, robotics, sports, music, & dance.

One of the best colleges to study at if you really like studying.
Placements: Around 67% of B.Com students get placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 6 LPA, and most students get an average package of 8 LPA. Infosys and Tata are the top recruiting companies where many B.Com students get placed. More than 15% of students get placed at Infosys, which is a well-known company. Students can get jobs as assistant accountants or in other business-related fields.
Infrastructure: Facilities at Sathyabama University of Science and Technology are good. When it comes to infrastructure, Sathyabama is always among the best. They provide all the necessary facilities to students, including food, transport, and medical assistance during emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They have solutions to students' problems and help them overcome difficulties. The teaching quality is wonderful because they explain all the topics in the simplest way so that everyone can understand. If students read and practise the subjects, they will not find them difficult. The passing percentage is 50%. The staff is well-educated and friendly towards all students. Faculty members are ready to teach students again and again if they don't understand something.

The college infrastructure and placements are really good.
Placements: Around 75% of students get placed in different companies. Some students get placed at Amazon, and the highest package is 41 LPA, while the average package is around 3–4 LPA. Students get various internship opportunities in different companies. The college gives more importance to placements.
Infrastructure: Mess food and the canteen are very good. Hostel facilities and sports facilities are also good. Classrooms are very good, and Wi-Fi is available in the library. Labs are very good, and the systems are in good working condition. The library has a good collection of books. CSE is the biggest department in our university.
Faculty: The pass percentage of the college is above 80%. The semester exams are difficult. Teachers in our university are qualified and knowledgeable. The syllabus is good but somewhat complicated. Various activities are conducted as part of the curriculum.
Other: The college is good for placements.

Average faculty and fewer students in this course compared to other courses in the college.
Placements: Placement opportunities for this course are lower compared to engineering courses. Placement training is provided, but mostly low-paying companies hire students from these three-year courses. The highest package is 9 LPA. The lowest is around 2–3 LPA for B.Sc. students.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are well-maintained and good for hostel students. As a day scholar, I do not have much idea about the hostel facilities, but the infrastructure for the course is quite decent. Labs are available, but Wi-Fi is not available for everyone. Classrooms and the library are also well-maintained and good.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful but have average knowledge. They teach mainly basic concepts according to the syllabus. The course curriculum is relevant. It helps students become industry-ready at a basic level. The exams are not very tough. Good preparation helps students score well.

Absolutely satisfied with the campus life and academics.
Placements: Around 60% of the undergraduates from my batch got placed. The overall placement opportunities were decent. Amazon was one of the top recruiting companies. Several roles in DevOps, cloud computing, and data analysis were offered. Internship opportunities were also available to students through both campus placements and individual applications.
Infrastructure: The college provided good infrastructure for academic and technical learning. The new classrooms were well-maintained. Wi-Fi connectivity was available across the campus. The hostel facilities were comparatively average and could have been improved. Sports and physical activities also needed improvement.
Faculty: Faculty members were generally good, helpful, and knowledgeable. Almost all professors had considerable teaching and academic experience. I was satisfied with the course curriculum. It covered almost all the important topics that were useful even after graduation and helped students in their professional lives.
Other: I chose this college because it provided good exposure to the technical field. It also offered a decent balance between academics and practical learning. It was completely value for money because the fees were lower than those of most other universities in the same category. Fests were conducted every year, allowing students to enjoy themselves to the fullest.

You can have a great time if you find good company.
Placements: Placements are okay if you study decently. You can get an average package of 6–8 LPA. If you are above average, you can get 8–12 LPA. The highest package is offered by Amazon, and I think it is around 40 LPA. The placement cell really tries to get students placed, which is good. Since I am not interested in placements, I have never attended placement classes. However, my friends always tell me that the classes are not up to the mark. I guess this is an issue everywhere.
Infrastructure: I am a hosteller in my first year. The hostel is average. I have friends from other states whose hostels are slightly better. Since the college is in Chennai, we get water only for a limited amount of time. We also cannot roam around inside the campus after 6 p.m. The gates are fully closed by 9–10 p.m., which is disappointing. The only thing I find really good is the food. Our college is known for its food, and it is better than that of other colleges. Our block is actually pretty good compared to other hostel blocks and buildings. The infrastructure is also good, but only in our block.
Faculty: Faculty is decent. I would say it is hit or miss. A few professors are really friendly, and college life feels good when they are around. However, a few professors make things so difficult that students literally end up crying. The exams could be evaluated better.
Other: Events are good for local students. However, I do not think the college accepts much diversity, even though students come from different regions. If you are from North India, you may have a hard time communicating and keeping up with professors and friends.

To get admission in Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology for UG courses, the student should pass Class 12 in Science or commerce from a recognised board. To get admission in PG courses the applicant must complete graduation with a valid score in the relevant stream.
