There is good support from the management, and mock tests are also conducted, but companies are not interested in taking the students.

SIST Chennai is a very special university.
Placements: In the last few years, what I have seen is that placements at SIST Chennai have been up manyfold. Top IT names and with the highest package clocking over 50 LPA, SIST Chennai is now a proven entity among South Indian Universities. Average package of ECE is around 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels aren't that good, but overall infrastructure, needless to say, is so well planned. There are UK University-style buildings and a knowledge park, which has the university's largest cafeteria along with a library, a place to watch out for. Labs and classrooms are as modern as those in the universities in the US.
Faculty: Our faculty is skilled and highly knowledgeable. When both these qualities are present, one can expect no shortage in quality academics. They are very strict but at the same time, they are very helpful as well. Hardly any of my faculty members have thrown tantrums or shown attitude while teaching.
Other: SIST Chennai has this one little drawback, and that is the language challenge. There are many outsiders, but still Tamil is the most common language spoken on campus.

Overall, a good college experience.
Placements: The placement support for my department is overall good. Around 70–80% of students get placed. The average package is around 5 LPA, and the highest package is 20–25 LPA. Top companies like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, etc., visit the campus. Some students also get internships through the college and their own applications.
Infrastructure: My department has very good classrooms, lab facilities, and Wi-Fi. It has experienced staff and a well-maintained library with plenty of resources. Free bus facilities are available to the campus from different parts of Chennai. The food quality is very good, with a variety of food options every day. Medical facilities and games facilities are also available.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are experienced and knowledgeable. They explain each and every concept clearly in an understandable way for students. The placement team takes special initiatives by providing skill training to students to help them get jobs. The semester exams are moderate to difficult. If students attend classes regularly and follow teachers' guidance, they can score good percentages.
Other: I chose B.Tech IT because I am interested in technology. My college has advanced systems and experienced teachers who are familiar with advanced technologies. My favorite part is the cultural activities, which are 10/10.

Experience of the Visual Communication Department from a student's perspective.
Placements: Only a certain number of students were placed. The overall placement experience was not very good for the VISCOM batch, and I was a little disappointed with it. For students who performed extremely well, the opportunities were good, and they are currently working.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of my department were not bad. They are gradually improving day by day and bringing in the latest technology-oriented devices that help students learn effectively. However, the space is a little cramped.
Faculty: The staff members were a little supportive throughout the process. Actually, they did support and guide us whenever we wanted any help. The curriculum of the course was very relevant. Coming to the exam part, the exams were actually not so difficult. They were quite easy.
Other: I chose this course at this college because I did not have any other college in mind that was good for VISCOM. The best thing about my course was actually nothing special; it was okay.

Excellent campus life, supportive faculty, and good placements.
Placements: Almost all students who attend placements get job offers. The highest package is 41 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. More than half of the students in the course receive internships. Amazon offers the highest package, whereas Capgemini recruits many students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good, with well-equipped labs and classrooms. The library has almost every course-related book for students and research. As I hear from hostel students, the food and facilities are quite good for the fees.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive and friendly. They are always ready to help students with their problems and studies. The curriculum covers core engineering concepts along with practical learning. It helps students understand the concepts more easily. The semester exams are moderately difficult and can be cleared with regular study.

It's totally very good for academic studies.
Placements: Most of the students are getting placements. The courses offered by university are good. A verified B.Pharm review states that around 60% of students secured internships. Internship opportunities included pharmacies, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good, providing good food free of cost. Labs and classrooms are very good. The infrastructure is very nice. The department has well equipped laboratories with instruments such as HPLC, Rotary Tablet Compression Machines, Dissolution Test Apparatus, and Brookfield Viscometer for practical training and research. Classrooms are spacious, Wi-Fi is available across the campus, and there is a central library.
Faculty: The staff has a friendly nature. They clarify all the doubts we have. They help us learn concepts in detail. The semester examinations are generally considered moderately difficult. Students who attend classes regularly, complete practicals, and study consistently usually pass without much difficulty. University has strict attendance requirements. Eligible students can appear for end-semester examinations after meeting these requirements.
Other: In the future, the pharmacy course may lead to helping patients get medicines. When we get good marks, we also get scholarships.

Good infrastructure, decent placements, and a supportive learning environment.
Placements: Around 4200 students are placed in our batch, which is passing out in 2026. The highest package is 41.2 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. We have top recruiting companies visiting the campus. Almost everyone has to do an internship during their course duration. The top roles offered on our campus are software developer, full-stack developer, web developer, and business development executive.
Infrastructure: All classrooms and labs are good. The quality of the hostel and mess food is decent. There are two canteens in the college, and good medical facilities are available in case of any emergency. We have both indoor and outdoor sports facilities with a huge ground. The hostel rooms are quite nice. Our classrooms are equipped with computers, with each student being allotted one.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful. The quality of their teaching is good. The course curriculum helps in student growth. Semester exams are quite difficult, and the passing percentage is 50%. Even though the exams are difficult, the pass percentage is higher compared to other colleges. It is one of the things that helps us learn more and concentrate on our studies.
