BTech CSE at SHUATS is a four-year programme. Admission to BTech is completely based on online/ offline counselling conducted basis SOET/ merit in Class 12. Additionally, admission to the Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology and Food Technology branches of BTech can also be done on the basis of ICAR AIEEA exam. Yes, SHUATS is good college for B.Tech, the fees is moderate and education facilities are very good in this college  .The rank of this college is 27 in NIRFand the B.tech courses of electronic electrical, civil and mechanical are good in thus college but some other engineering courses such as agriculture engineering, dairy engineering and food teach engineering are among the top 10 in this country especially dairy engineering is ranked 2 in this country.

No, direct admission is not available for most programs at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (SHUATS). The admission process for SHUATS is primarily based on the SHUATS Online Entrance Test (SOET) and merit-based online/offline counseling. For various diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs, the admission is granted through Open Online Counseling.

For applying for BTech at SHUATS Allahabad one must have completed 12th from CBSE or UP board with atleat 50% marks for general category and 45% for reserved category.

After satisfying this criteria, students have to qualify the SHIATS entrance exam. Which completely merit based.

For few courses like agricultural, food technology and dairy specialisation BTech, there is another entrance called SOET (SHUATS online entrance exam)

The university conducted SOET for all the UG and PG courses in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture and Pharmacy courses offered by it. For all the remaining courses, the university conducts online counselling based on past academic merit.
