Placements: From BIST Purulia, around 70 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is 6 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. The lowest package is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Cognizant. Nearly 60 percent of students got internships in IT firms. Common roles offered are developer, analyst, and support engineer.
Infrastructure: My department has good facilities, including Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, computer labs, and access to a well-stocked library with books and digital resources. Labs are functional and useful for practical learning. The hostel provides basic but clean rooms with regular water and decent Wi-Fi. Mess food is average but hygienic. The canteen offers affordable snacks. Medical support includes first-aid and access to a nearby hospital. The college also provides sports facilities like cricket, football, volleyball, and indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is clear and supportive. The course curriculum is relevant and covers fundamentals needed to become industry-ready with practical labs. Semester exams are moderately difficult, neither too easy nor too tough. Many students pass with a pass percentage of around 70-80 percent.
Other: I am from the BIST Purulia. I chose this course because I am interested in technical skills and good career opportunities. The best parts of the course are the practical labs, supportive teachers, and the exposure to projects. I wish it would provide more industry-focused workshops and updated lab equipment. The college conducts events, seminars, and an annual fest that students enjoy. The campus crowd is friendly and active in extracurricular activities. Connectivity to the town is decent. The surrounding environment is peaceful. Scholarships are available for eligible students. Overall, the campus life is good.

Placements: 60% students are placed from campus drives. The highest package is 7.2 LPA, the lowest is 2.4 LPA, and the average is 3 LPA. Top recruiters are Axis Bank and ICICI Bank (mainly banking/finance firms). 95% students reported getting internships, many with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. Frequent roles offered are banking-staff, cashier/clerk or entry-level operations/manager-trainee positions.

Good, but there are some good and bad aspects of the college.
Placements: There is no proper placement. I hear from some seniors that students can get fairly good placements. It is very difficult to get placements without skills. But I hear from seniors that students with good graduation results can get good placements.
Infrastructure: Hostel is okay, but it is old. Rooms are small. Beds are outdated. The water system is not good. The food and hostel atmosphere are not good. I try to get a hostel, but I still cannot find one.
Faculty: Faculty is good. The effort to conduct exams is good, but the questions are difficult. Teachers are often angry with students. Students are confused because what is taught in classes is different from what appears in exams.
Other: I chose the course in English. The campus life is okay, but it is not as much fun as I expected.

“Supportive teachers, good campus life and practical learning in BCA at Raghunathpur College”
Placements: In Raghunathpur College, the BCA course placement is decent. Around 7-75% of students from our batch got placed. The highest package was around 8-10 LPA, the lowest was 2.5-3 LPA, and the average package was close to 4-5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, and Capgemini. Nearly 50-60% students also got internships in companies like Cognizant, Deloitte, and HCL. The major roles offered were software developer, web developer, system analyst, and technical support engineer.
Infrastructure: Raghunathpur College offers a good BCA course with supportive faculty and proper lab facilities. The hostel is clean, safe, and provides basic amenities with hygienic food. Overall, it gives a study-friendly and affordable environment for students. Good.
Faculty: The faculty of Raghunathpur College for BCA is supportive and qualified. Teachers explain concepts clearly and guide students through projects and placements. The curriculum is updated as per industry requirements and helps students become job-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, focusing on both theoretical and practical knowledge. The pass percentage is quite high as long as students attend classes and prepare regularly.
Other: I chose BCA because I was interested in programming and IT career opportunities. The best thing about the course is the balance of theory and practical learning. The campus has a friendly environment with supportive seniors and teachers. College fests and cultural events add to the overall experience. One area of improvement could be providing more industry exposure and advanced lab facilities. Extracurricular activities, sports and scholarships also support students well.

Brief review of our university.
Placements: Although our university is a general degree university but still our placement and training cell arranges placement drives occasionally. Many students get the chance to do a job with a very good salary in companies that come for the placement drives.
Infrastructure: There are sufficient benches for the students. 24X7 electricity is available and drinking water is available in all departments. Central library of our university has a huge collection of books for every subject. Medicine for minor diseases is available in our utility building. You can eat food at very cheap price in the canteen.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful towards us. They teach us every topic in very easy way. All professors are well qualified. The semester exams are held within six months, and they are not so tough to clear if you focus. Minimum 45% is the pass percentage.
Other: After I did my graduation in history I wanted to know the fundamentals of our society so I chose sociology as my subject.

Genuine decent review of my university.
Placements: They don't provide placements but guide the students to be a better person in the future they have a WhatsApp group to which post job-related queries. They do extracurricular activities that help a student to be a better person in a component that provides them required training.
Infrastructure: The university is well-equipped with laboratories and lift facilities are also available in the laboratory. Air conditioning is also there plus to good. Wi-Fi is also there. The computer systems are good and up to the mark with the latest software installed in them.
Faculty: Every professor is well-educated and provides us with decent knowledge about the course. The exam is also difficult to do with a maximum number of questions coming from the syllabus and if you are a really good student you can easily clear the examination.
