To secure admission at Siksha O Anusandhan University, candidates must initially qualify the entrance exam relevant to their chosen courses. Following this, they are required to complete the application process, which includes submitting the application form, paying the requisite fee, and providing the necessary documents. Admission is not direct and is based on performance in the entrance exam and fulfillment of application requirements.

The hostel fee structure for SOA University depends upon the number of accommodations, for double sharing with Air conditioning the fee is INR 1.20 Lacs per annum. For triple-sharing rooms with Air conditioning, the fee is INR 90,000 per annum. Siksha O Anusandhan University provides separate hostels for boys and girls with 24-hour security and Wi-Fi facilities. There are 13 boys and 11 girls hostel. The hostels also have mess facilities providing hygienic and nutritious food. The mess charges are not included in the hostel fee, candidates need to pay INR 36,000 per annum to avail of the campus mess.

To be eligible for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (including AIML/CYS/DS/IOT) or Computer Science and Information Technology at SOA University, candidates must have passed the class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Additionally, candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the specified subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship.
