Somaiya Vidhavihar University BA courses are offered in two types- general BA courses for a three-year duration, and BA (Hons) for a four-year duration. Further, the courses are divided into six and eight semesters, respectively. The basic eligibility criteria required by the university to get admission into the BA courses is candidates must complete their Class 12 from the Science/ Commerce/ Arts stream with a minimum aggregate of 50 - 55% and English as a compulsory subject.
Moreover, Somiaya Vidyavihar BA admissions are based on candidates' secured scores in the Somaiya Vidyavihar University Entrance Test (SVUET). Additionally, the university might also accept the scores of CUET UG. SVU Mumbai BA courses are available in three specialisations through SK Somaiya College and KJ Somaiya Institute of Dharma Studies. Names of the specialisations are Mass Communication and Journalism, Indian History, Culture, Archaeology, and Heritage Studies, and Yogashastra.
