College is average with high fees, awesome campus, well-qualified teachers, below-average placement.

Placements: I am from the batch of 2020-2022. Unsatisfactory placements and mismanagement are observed throughout the placement process. The salary package offered is extremely poor, so I suggest not to expect any help from the internal committee. Overall, I won't recommend this college if you are serious about getting a good placement. The highest salary package offered is around 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is about 2 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent with all facilities provided, and it is maintained as per said by the institution. Hostels and canteens are closed during the lockdown. Else both hostels and more than 8 canteen facilities are available throughout the college campus.

Faculty: It is tough enough to crack the trimester exam pattern. Faculty members are excellent and highly qualified, and they have teaching experience of more than 8-10 years. Students are given multiple assignments, and unit tests are conducted as well. Students are also asked to do 2-3 mini-projects each trimester.

The college provides good facilities and placements.

Placements: In the current year, approximately 50% of students got placed till now, but every year, all the students get placed from each course in K J Somaiya Institute of Management. Many good companies come to the campus, and the placements are very good compared to other colleges. One can expect the job role of project trainee or software developer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. The campus is huge with great facilities. Due to the pandemic, the lectures were conducted online, but they were as good as offline classes. We are given access to an online library, where we can refer to as many books as we can.

Faculty: The college follows the trimester pattern, and in each trimester, we learn new technologies. The faculty members are very good, and they help the students to understand the concepts and also do help the students to build good projects. The curriculum is advanced and also meets the industry standards. For the enhancement of learning, the students have to do projects in each trimester, which adds to the resume as well.

Most of the factors of our college are quite good.

Placements: Our college has the best placement facility. As our college is well-reputed, it provides good opportunities for students to get placed in top companies. There are high chances to get placed, but it is purely based on student's performance in the selection process. Currently, about 25% of the batch got placed with the highest salary package of 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4.7 LPA. Top companies for MCA are Asian Paints, Nomura, General Mills, IV, etc.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi facility is available on the whole campus, but you need to register first on the college network. It also has a well-equipped computer lab, and PCs in the lab are also well-maintained. There is also a hostel for boys and girls. The food on the campus is good.

Faculty: Teaching skills of faculty members are quite good. The course covers the basics knowledge related to the industry, which makes students free to learn and explore more on their own. Exams are not that difficult to crack with a passing percentage of 50%, which can be done with some effort.

Other: I have chosen this course to increase the job opportunities available for me. The best part of the course is that it gives not only technical knowledge but also give business-related knowledge, which would be helpful in the industry. Extracurricular activities are adequately structured to teach us how to maintain the balance between circular and extracurricular activities.

They also help the students to build good projects. The course curriculum is advanced, and it also meets the industry standards for the enhancement of learning. Overall excellent institute.

Placements: Placement for my senior batch was quite good. Almost all students got placed in the companies. The placement committee is set to take care of placements of the students. The highest package earned by senior batch was around 6.5 L. Also average and low package was not so satisfying.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities are excellent in SIMSR. The classrooms are equipped with projectors, speakers etc. There is Wi-Fi facility available for all students. There's medical facility also available for students in need. Labs are equipped with high-speed computers and all required software are installed.

Faculty: As we are an autonomous institute, our course curriculum is quite well and has good standard and is well matched with industry requirements. The faculty members allotted for each subjects are well versed with that subject and has good experience in that domain.

A review of KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research.

Placements: Placements in this institute were good. The placement rate was around 96-97%. The placement cell has approached medium and large-scale companies to offer placements. Also, campus placements are provided to engineering students, so overall, many companies visited the college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was one of the best in Somaiya. The college was known for its campus as well as education. Classrooms were good and air-conditioned. There were a library, amphitheatre and canteen. The quality of food available in the canteen was good. Computer labs and Wi-Fi facility were available for all the students. The library has books, and PCs were available in the online libraries. Hostels were available, and I have heard good reviews about hostel rooms.

Faculty: Faculty members were helpful and well qualified to provide knowledge to the students. Teaching methods used were traditional as well as modern. Different practical training sessions were provided. A minimum of 75% of attendance is compulsory for MCA students. Grade pattern is followed. A plan of K.J. Somaiya University has also been proposed. The fee structure is a bit high.

Other: A lot of fests and events are conducted by various courses. Technical fests and Navratri festivals are celebrated. JAM sessions are conducted.

Placements: This college has one of the best placement facilities as heard on many years. The college has a high name and dame and provides students the opportunity to get placed on top ranking companies and earn good. The college avails placements service in several top companies every year seen and heard by seniors.

Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is best to meet our needs. It includes air conditioned classrooms and discussion rooms, a large library, audio visual room and a seminar hall with great look. It also has a well-equipped computer lab and also an hostel for boys and girls.

Faculty: Our faculty has well experienced, high qualified teaching staff. The institute has an academic council drawing specialists from academia and industry to advise them on its curriculum and programmes and help them in close industry interface. Its really impressive n is good for the students of the institute.

Other: The college organises various events and games for boosting the talents of students and encouraging them a lot. They provide yoga facilities, sports competitions, several foreign activities and recreational facilities to inculcate students n encourage them to touch new heights.

KJ SIMSR college has a good campus and placements.

Placements: I heard from the seniors that the placements are very good in this college. The average salary is from 2.80 LPA to 3.60 lacs per annum. Many companies visited the campus last year for recruitment, and nearly all the students were placed in good companies with good packages.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi facility is available on the whole campus, but to access the free internet, we have to first register on the college network. The classrooms are AC rooms. PCs in the lab are also well-maintained. The library has a wide range of books to learn from. There is also a first aid kit available in the office room.

Faculty: The teachers are very nice, and the teaching techniques are also unique and simple to understand. The external classroom has a projector, and all the lectures are carried out on the projector only. The teachers used to conduct weekly tests to know whether the students understood the concepts or not.
