Sree Sankaracharya University provides education in Sanskrit, other Indian and foreign languages, social science, and fine arts. Eight regional campuses of the university are located throughout Kerala, including the main campus in Kalady and campuses in Thiruvananthapuram, Panmana, Thuravoor, Ettumanoor, Tirur, and Koyilandy.
SSUS BA admission dates have not been announced yet by the University for the academic year 2024. However, according to the 2023 data, SSUS BA deadline for submission of application forms will be tentatively in June and SSUS BA Cutoffs will be released tentatively in July.
Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) accepts entrance exam scores for admission to MA programs. The university also conducts aptitude and practical tests for some programs.
For the academic year 2023-2024, the university conducted the entrance exam in April or May. The following programs were available:
- MA Museology
- MA Comparative Literature and Linguistics
- MA Dance (Bharathanatyam)
- MA Sanskrit General
Other programs include: M.Sc, M.S.W, MFA, MPES, PG Diploma.
Admission to the 2-year Master of Fine Arts Degree Program requires the following:
- A Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from a university recognised by SSUS
- A minimum of 55% marks in aggregate
Admission to PG programs is not available to students who are already enrolled in another PG programme at the university

The Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) requires a minimum of 40% marks in the PG entrance exam for admission.
For the Ph.D. program, candidates must score 50% or more in the entrance exam. Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/ differently-abled category receive a 5% relaxation.
