A very good, organized place to get exposed and get your life better.
Placements: In my batch, the placement training started for us and my seniors' batch. More than 70 percent of students are placed in top companies. The highest package is like 27 LPA, and the lowest package is like 4.5 LPA. Companies like Fedility Investment, Schneider Electric, KPGA, and Accenture recruit. Our seniors got internships in Fedility Investment as full-stack developers, and in some other companies, they got internships with a stipend of 40,000 per month. The students are hired for chip-level designing and front end developed and software engineering, and so many roles.
Infrastructure: We have a high-speed internet connection in our campus its like 100 mbps for all the laptops, and good spaced library with maintained books. The campus is with centralized air-conditioned system, so classrooms are comfortable for students and labs with advanced technologies and boards. So the canteen is maintained in a hygienic way, and the taste is above average and good to afford for the students.
Faculty: Almost all the faculty have completed their Ph.D., and they are well-trained for teaching, and they are maintaining a good relationship with the students. The course curriculum is very relevant to the industry-based system and very helpful in placements. The passing percentage is 50%, and it's not too hard to pass, but for placement purpose we are sick with some 9 CGPA.
Other: So, according to India, now the semiconductor industry is booming, and so the Electronics engineers are required so much for that, and we have demands in the industry, so I have joined this course. Still, we can move to software or core, whatever we want. We have so many clubs and activities on our campus, so students are engaged with the activities and all the stuff.

Overall, it's average. If you're looking to enjoy your college life, this college is not for you.
Placements: Very few students have been placed. Specifically, only 5 out of 50. The highest package offered is up to 8 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA, with Accenture and Samsung being the primary companies that came for placement. There were very few companies that visited for placements, and many students didn't get placed, which resulted in a loss for those who paid placement fees, and the placement portals also had trouble.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, though it is now being upgraded. Overall, the quality of the college is average. If you are taking a course here, you will need to put in your own efforts and spend more money for various things, as proper information is not passed to students, and there are no extra activities.
Faculty: Staff are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, though some have an attitude. They collect money for all events but lack proper management, with not a single trip planned; it's entirely up to your own interest. The difficulty level is not too high, with a pass percentage of 55 out of 100.
Other: In this campus, the fest, crowd, connectivity, and other activities are extremely limited due to very low numbers of students.

An overall detailed review about SRM IST Vadapalani 2025.
Placements: More than 60% were placed, and the other 40% moved to do business, study for a Master's, and pursue professional courses like CA, CMA, and US CMA. The highest is 4 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA with TCS, HDFC, Accenture, and other popular companies, along with some US companies. 20% were interested in internships and got selected in Hexaware and other companies. Top roles offered are sales manager, assistant manager, telesales, office accountant, AR caller, and data entry clerk.
Infrastructure: We have centralized AC classrooms and a good library for different departments. Hostel facilities are not available, and for the sports program, we are dependent on the Trustpuram ground. We have national players selected on our campus. The food was good, and we have the SIMS Hospital.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, and they were helpful. They conducted cycle tests and model exams for students to gain some idea about the questions being asked. The course curriculum is relevant. This course is in demand in many emerging industries, and they are providing industrial visits for good connectivity. Semester exams are not that tough if you have very good preparation, I'm sure that you will get above an 8 CGPA, and the pass percentage is above 50%.
Other: I chose B.Com to gain knowledge about commerce-related terms, and I have planned my career based on this course. The improvement will be in making students get the opportunities available for B.Com students. SRM IST Vadapalani conducts events, fests, has a good campus environment, and scholarships are based on merit and sports.

The real truth of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai - Vadapalani Campus.
Placements: As of last year, in CSE, from 160-170 students, 80-90 applied for placements, and 38 students got placed. The highest package is 52 LPA, and the 2nd highest package is 25.5 LPA. The placement system is simple, and students need a minimum CGPA to sit in placements. We get opportunities to apply to multiple companies by sending our resume and attending interviews.
Infrastructure: There is a good canteen on the ground floor in which both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available, but on two different sides, which is a good sign for vegetarian students. It is a one-building college. It has good classrooms and labs, etc., with AC. All departments are in separate areas.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful and approachable at any time. CTS happens every month, which constitutes the internal marks and keeps students focused. If they fail or miss any of them, we might see some GPA difference in the end. There are 60 marks internals and more than 40 marks for the end semester exams.
Other: There are 5 clubs in the CSE department, which allow students to join. Clubs are organised by students, and they organise multiple events with cash prizes to entertain students while being under the pressure of studies.

Overall, it's a good and well-maintained esteemed institution where students can learn.
Placements: The college provides placement training for the students who are capable and responsible. Students are taught coding with the personal systems in lab sessions. Online mock tests are also provided in terms of the lab where students can check up their coding skills.
Infrastructure: They support sports, and the infrastructure is quite okay. Located in the main city, traveling is easy because metro lines, bus stops, and auto stands are all nearby. The canteen is very good, offering a variety of foods, and there is also a restaurant like A2B outside the college premises.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced and good. It's easy to grasp subject knowledge, and they also help after college hours. Overall, it's easy to clear semester exams if we study. There are cycle tests, a model exam, and then the semester. Basically, a semester lasts six months, with monthly cycle tests, a model exam in the fifth month, and the semester exams.
Other: Events are frequent, and multiple bazaars are held. There are inter-college competitions and much more.

No, SRM Vadapalani is not very expensive university but if students find it very expensive, worry there are scholarships available for students. The fee for the BTech course (tution fee) is INR 4 L - INR 14 L. The fee also have various components. Adding them gives us the total college fee.
