Candidates who have completed graduation from any recognised university in relevant subjects are eligible to apply for MA at Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University. Candidates must have studied Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics for MA Applied Economics. The subject requirement varies with the MA specialisation applied by the candidate.

SRTMUN offers various facilities to its students to provide the best environment. Some of the facilities are listed below:

Library: The University Library spread has a rich collection of books, Back Volumes, Periodicals, Various National and International Journals etc. Also, SOUL software version – 2 and OPEC search facilities, Reprographic facilities, are operational in the library functioning.

Hostel: The boys' hostel contains 212 rooms, while the girls' hostel has 246 rooms. Both are ventilated and supplied with fans, cots, tables, chairs, cupboards, tube lights, dustbins, and door mats, among other things.

Sports Complex: The University also holds a Sports hostel with 36 Rooms, a dining hall and a seminar hall. Also, the university offers these sports facilities for the overall physical development of students and to infuse sports spirit in them.

SRTMUN provides good hostel facilities to non-local students. The boys' hostel contains 212 rooms, while the girls' hostel has 246 rooms. Both are ventilated and supplied with fans, cots, tables, chairs, cupboards, tube lights, dustbins, and door mats, among other things. The hostels are well-equipped with all necessary amenities such as water coolers and filters, solar water heaters, television sets, and so on. Admission to the hostel is purely on a merit basis to UG, PG, and Research Scholars from all institutions on campus, based on demand and supply. The hostel office keeps track of students' profiles. In hostels, there is a 'Earn and Learn Scheme' for economically weak students. The resident students are charged reasonable fees, which is collected annually.

Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University was established in 1994. SRTMUN is approved by UGC and accredited with a B+ grade. The SRTMUN provides diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes. The university provides courses in the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Computer Application and IT, Management and Business Administration, Engineering, and Architecture. Yes, SRTMUN conducts an entrance exam for admission to PhD course. The university conducts PET in pen and paper mode at three centres, namely Nanded, Latur and Parbhani. The entrance test is conducted for two hours and includes section-A and section-B. Section-A is related to research methodology and includes 50 questions. Section-B is subject specific and includes 50 questions.

Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University offers more than 140 courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels at campus or via affiliated colleges. The university offers these programme through its 13 different schools and centres. Apart from regular courses, SRTMUN also offers distance education programmes. SRTMUN offer seats to candidates based on national/ state-level entrance exam or merit in the last qualifying exam. Aspirants are first required to register for the course of their choice via online mode. SRTMUN shortlists candidates based on state-level entrance exams such as MAH B.Ed CET, MAH MBA CET, MHT CET, etc. for admission to specific courses.

The university conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to programmes such as BSc, MSc, etc. For all others, merit in the last qualifying exam is considered for admission. The university releases a merit list to announce the names of the selected candidates. Shortlisted aspirants must pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the university.
