Step 1: Application Process

Candidates must apply online on the official website of the University. Before applying for admissions, candidates must read the e-Prospectus carefully and identify the programme group. Below is the procedure for filling out the Gandhigram University application:

Step 1.1: Visit the official website of Gandhigram University.

Step 1.2: Register before login with a valid E-mail ID and Mobile number.

Step 1.3: Candidates will be provided with the username and password through SMS and E-mail.

Step 1.4: Log in using the username and password.

Step 1.5: Fill out the application form and pay the application fees of INR 600.

Step 1.6: Submit the form.

Step 2: Selection Criteria

Admission to the BSc programme is through CUET. Candidates who meet the CUET Cutoffs are called to appear for the counselling process. Admissions are offered to the selected candidates after the verification of the original certificates. The final step of the admission process is to pay Gandhigram University BSc fees.

As per the NIRF report 2022, the number of students placed in UG (3 years) courses was the highest and the count stood at 68, whereas, the number of students placed in UG (4 years) was 13. For PG (1 year), PG (2 years) and PG (3 years) the number of students placed was 6, 56 and 17, respectively.

The median package offered to UG (3 years) and UG (4 years) students was INR 1.56 LPA and INR 4.80 LPA, respectively. The median package offered to PG (1 year) and PG (2 years) students was INR 2.16 and INR 2.04 LPA, respectively, and for PG (3 years) the amount stood at INR 3.20 LPA.

The Gandhigram Rural Institute has not released the 2023 placement statistics yet. However, according to the NIRF report 2023, 173 UG programme students were placed during placements in 2022. The median package offered to UG (three-year) students stood at INR 1.8 LPA.

The Gandhigram Rural Institute's placements is good in terms of ROI. But when compared with the Alagappa University, Alagappa's placement is better than the Gandhigram Rural Institute because of their infrastructure and alumini networks.
