    No, it is not like that. Only you have to clear the entrance exam of any of the colleges which offer food technology course.

    No, it is not compulsory to stay in the same branch. You can switch the branch also if you want.

    Can I take lateral admission in 2nd year for food technology in University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) ? I am doing 1st year from Jaipur.

    Hello Sahil, Once you take admission in 1st year of engineering after real lengthy process, it's next to impossible to shift college in second year. What is reasonably possible is to change branch in same college if seats are available.
