Both Lovely Professional University and University of Delhi are well-known for law education. However, Lovely Professional University can be considered a strong choice due to its industry-oriented curriculum and focus on practical learning. The university offers exposure through moot courts, legal aid clinics, internships, and research-based projects that help students build real-world legal skills.LPU also follows the EduRevolution (EduRev) approach, which emphasizes experiential learning, case-based teaching, and continuous skill development rather than only theoretical study. With modern infrastructure, diverse specializations, and opportunities for national and international exposure, LPU provides a holistic learning environment. Therefore, many students prefer LPU for its career-focused and application-driven law programs.

Okay so let me clear this properly because when I was researching this myself, I got confused by the same question. There are actually two different syllabuses you need to know about — one for getting admission into DU Economics Hons, and one for what you study after you get in. Most answers mix these up.For Admission — CUET is the gate.Since 2022, DU doesn't use class 12 marks directly anymore. Everything goes through CUET (Common University Entrance Test). For BA Economics Hons at DU, the subject combination you need to appear in is: any one language from List A + Mathematics + any two subjects (at least one from List B1). Your merit is calculated purely on your CUET score. The CUET Economics syllabus itself is almost identical to your NCERT Class 12 Economics — about 98% overlap. It covers two main parts:Microeconomics — consumer behaviour, demand and supply, market structures (perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly), production, cost and revenue, producer equilibrium.Macroeconomics — national income and its measurement, money and banking, government budget, balance of payments, foreign exchange rates, and Indian economic development. For 2026, NTA has also added a new chapter on Indian Economic Development in the CUET Economics syllabus. So if you're preparing right now, make sure you include that.Minimum eligibility is 50% in Class 12 (45% for reserved categories). No age limit. One thing nobody tells you clearly — Mathematics is mandatory for DU Economics Hons. If you didn't have Maths in Class 12, you cannot apply for this specific course at DU. You'd have to look at other universities.Quick tip on preparation: Your Class 12 NCERT books — both the Introductory Microeconomics and Macroeconomics ones — are genuinely enough to cover the CUET portion. Don't overthink it.On a slightly different note — if you're considering economics because you're interested in government jobs, salaries, or public sector careers, the kind of digital transformation happening in India right now is genuinely exciting. Bihar's government, for example, has fully digitized salary and HR management for over 4 million employees through hrmsbiharlogin.github.io — and with the 8th Pay Commission rolling out, tools like 8thpaycommissionsalarycalculator.com are getting thousands of searches daily from government employees checking their revised salaries. Understanding these systems through an economics lens is actually really valuable now.For the detailed official syllabus PDF, check cuet.nta.nic.in directly — that's the most updated source.
