Madras University offers about 28 scholarships to students. These include the Mother M. Celine Scholarship, Sir Tanjore Madhava Rau Scholarship, Lord Pentland Mussalman Scholarship, Poet H.A. Krishna Pillai Tamil Scholarship, Madras Oriental Conference Scholarship, Dr A. L. Mudaliar Scholarship, Krupabai Santhyanathan Memorial Scholarship, Lions Club of Madras Central Endowment Scholarship, The Goschen Memorial Endowment Scholarship and The Johnston of Carnslloch Endowment Scholarship. Students of UNOM can avail of these scholarship schemes only if they fulfil the eligibility criteria as set up by the university.

Two Scholarships to the value of INR 1400/- (Rupees one thousand four hundred only) per annum payable to Two Hindu Students who are undergoing first-year Under Graduate Degree Course in the affiliated Colleges of Madras University based on the Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent thereto passed in Tamil Nadu by securing the highest marks in first attempt.
