University of Mumbai has a wide geographical spread and with a very high density of population, there are many colleges offering law courses culminating in the degree being conferred by Mumbai University. Now, we have a choice of taking a very narrow view that placements by the only Dept of Law or law school of the university is to be taken into account, then we would be excluding perhaps more than 90% of students population. The university is expected to govern and issue policy guidelines to different colleges, it is expected to monitor and modify syllabus of different courses it had authorised. If the placement by university's dept. Is concerned, I feel it would be quite inadequate to meet needs of students. However, different colleges offering these law courses have very vibrant placement cells and they are able to offer internships as well as placements at graduation level. Thank you.

Both the institutions are good, as you will get practical exposure and knowledge. Rest depends on the seriousness of an individual, as the better you will perform, the better opportunities you will get. All the best.
