MBA in Business Analytics

Yes, the School of Management Studies under the University of Hyderabad offers a two-year full-time MBA course to the students. Available across General specialisation along with Health Care & Hospital Management and Business Analytics specialisations. Admissions for the MBA in Business Analytics at the University of Hyderabad are done based on a written entrance examination for 75 marks (comprising of various sections related to Logical reasoning, Verbal ability, Quantitative ability, Mathematical ability, Statistical ability, Analytical skills, Data Analysis, Interpretation, etc.) conducted by the University followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. • Candidates shortlisted after the written test will be called for a personal interview.
• The final offer would be made on the basis of performance in the written test, group discussion and personal interview.
• 60% weightage would be given to the written exam score, 15% weightage for group discussion and 25% weightage for the personal interview respectively.
• Further, the university releases the admission notification in the months of March/ April every year. The notification would be advertised in popular newspapers and can also be accessed on the university website.

CAT scores are only compulsory for admission to the General MBA at the University of Hyderabad. However, for an MBA in Health Care and Hospital Management, the entrance exam will be for 75 marks. Moreover, the weightage for the written exam will be 60%, the weightage for the Group Discussion will be 15 % and the weightage for the Personal Interview. Additionally, for MBA in business Analytics, the selection process is similar to MBA in HHCM. 

Candidates seeking admission must at least have completed a three-year bachelor’s degree with first class (or its equivalent with 60% aggregate) in any discipline recognised by UGC/ Association of Indian Universities/ AICTE on or before June of the year of admission. Those completing their final examinations by June can also apply. Additionally, candidates must also have a valid score in CAT exam conducted by the IIMs. IIMs, however, play no role in the selection criteria of UoH for MBA. Online application form has to be submitted online and after filling the online application form, candidates must pay the application fee immediately using the online payment gateway link provided on the form. A list with the names of the short listed candidates is posted on the official website as per the given schedule and none of the shortlisted individuals are sent any communication in this regard.
