Uttarakhand Open University B.A. Admission is offered in various specialisations, including General, Geography, Mathematics and Yoga Sciences being the most preferred ones. B.Sc. Is also offered in two specialisations, including one in General and the other in an optional subject of choice. Also, the University offers B.Ed in three different specialisations that include General, Special Education (Learning Disability) and Special Education (Mental Retardation).. .

UOU admission process is both entrance-based and merit-based. Some of the programmes, such as M.A., MSc and BSc admission is merit-based. However, B.Ed and MBA admission is based on a valid score in entrance examination. Interested candidates can fill out the application form in both online and offline modes.

UOU Uttarakhand is not very difficult to get admission at. Candidates must fullfil the basic eligibility criteria provided by the University. UOU Uttarakhand offers admission based on merit and entrance, depending on the level (UG or PG) of course. Candidates must qualify Class 12 or graduation with minimum suggested aggregate.

Courses such as MBA is offered based on the accepted entrance exam such as MAT/ CAT or university level entrance exams. Post shortlisting of candidates based on merit, candidates qualifying respective entrance exam recieve counselling. After the counselling process, final merit list is released and candidates require to get documents verified and pay the respective course fees for final seat allotment.

UOU Uttarakhand offers courses in UG, PG and Certificate level through ODL and OL modes. The University offers courses such as MBA, BEd, MSc, BSc, MSW and Certificate with a duration spanning from 6 months to 3 years. Uttarakhand Open University fee structure includes tuition fees ranging from INR 900 to INR 3.27 Lakh. To conclude, being a government led university, Uttarakhand Open University degree can be availed at the most economical pricing.

However, as per the placement report 2021, a total of 38 Diploma in Hotel Administration students were placed during UOU placement 2021. Students were placed in top companies such as Grand Hyatt Kochi, and The Leela Group of Hotels, among others during placement 2021.
