VSSUT BSc admission 2025 will be entrance-based. To get admission to the five-year integradted BSc plus MSc programme offered at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, candidates will be required to appear for either of the following entrance examination namely, OJEE/ OJEE (Main) which usually takes place in the month of July every year. VSSUT also conduct its own entrance exam for VSSUT BSc course admissions.
The cutoff various every year but as per the past year cutoff, a general category student with a rank under 1,50,000 in JEE MAINS EXAMINATIONS can easily get a seat at VSSUT. For getting higher branches you need to have rank under 60K. The cutoff rank for reserved categories is around 4-5 Lacs rank in JEE MAINS examinations which is very low.

- Through the OJEE: VSSUT accepts OJEE scores for admission to its B.Tech program. The OJEE is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Government of Odisha for admission to engineering and technology programs in the state.
- Through lateral entry: VSSUT offers lateral entry admission to its B.Tech programme for students who have completed a Diploma in engineering and technology from a recognised institution.
To be eligible for lateral entry admission to VSSUT, you must have passed a Diploma in engineering and technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
The cut- off marks are determined by various factors like:-
- Total seats available
- Number of students who enrolled for admission.
- Reservation for OBC, ST, SC and PWD CANDIDATES.
- The difficulty level of the qualifying examination.
