The university also conducts its own university-level entrance exam for a few undergraduate and postgraduate programmes admission. Step 1: VSSUT Registration 2025

The university will release the merit list as per the rank secured in the entrance exam

BTech: A valid score is required in the JEE main or OJEE entrance examination
MTech: A valid GATE score is required for admission into two years MTech course
MSc: Career assessment is the criteria for admission into the MSc course in July every year.
Integrated MSc: Entrance Exam conducted by VSSUT / OJEE / OJEE(Main) in July every year.
MPhil: Entrance Exam conducted by VSSUT in July every year.
PhD: Entrance Exam conducted by VSSUT followed by Interview (in July and January every year). Full-time students with External Fellowship and VSSUT faculty members are exempted from this selection process.

Candidates must pay the counselling fee of INR 500 for the programmes, such as MSc.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

When offering a seat to a particular candidate, the rank of the candidate on the final merit list will be taken into consideration.
