To get admission in VIT Vellore MTech, students have to appear for the VITMEE exam. The basic eligibility to apply for the exam is as below:

  • BTech/ B.E/ BArch/ BDes/ MCA/ MSs or equivalent in a relevant field from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate

No, there is no provision for re-evaluation of the VITMEE result. The result once released is considered as final.

The VITMEE cutoff is determined based on the following factors -

  • Candidates appeared in CBT
  • Performance of applicants
  • Seat intake
  • Reservation criteria
  • Difficulty level of question paper

The cutoff will be announced along with declaration of result.

The VITMEE result scorecard will have following details -

  • Name of candidate
  • Roll number
  • Date of birth
  • Candidate category
  • Overall marks obtained in exam
  • Rank and candidate's qualifying status

The scorecard of VITMEE is valid for one year only.

VITMEE counselling will take place after the completion of the exam. Candidates who have qualified VITMEE exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Selection will be based on the rank obtained in CBT. During counselling process, selected candidates can give option for academic qualification eligibility, campus, programme and fee category.
