St. Xavier's College, Kolkata

Everyone in this world picturizes differently of what college life is. Well, in my case, I completely took it to be what we see in movies. I'll tell you about my story. It was different. It was amazing as I thought it to be at first. I had friends, I had my well-wishers and I was happy to be in college until the day hard work began.

Of course, after the hard days of high school, I wanted to be free like a bird flying high without any hesitation, but the birds too face difficulties up in the sky. I always thought that a college would be fun like what I saw in movies or any series, but it was different.

Getting admission in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, was easy as the selection criteria was marks obtained in class 12th. At first, I felt I was admitted to another school after getting over with high school. I wanted to run away and I wanted freedom. Then, one of my friends came to me, spoke to me about my career planning and helped me build my future.

It was fun indeed. I got to learn about new things in my college. I pursued BCom from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. Here, you'll get a number of opportunities to show up your talents and build your future. I was always interested in singing, so I got a lot of opportunities to sing in this college. Because of this, I made a lot of friends. You will get good faculty members and professors here who teach very well and provide with good notes of all subjects.

In my final year, I took up marketing management as my specialization paper. It was very interesting, and I got to know about so many techniques of sales and marketing.

In the final year, all the students get a chance to appear for the campus recruitment programme where they get selected for different companies and jobs with good incentives. But I didn't appear for any campus recruitment because I didn't really want to. My interests were somewhere else. So, right after my final year exams, I appeared for the SBI PO exam and got through. Today, I'm happy again as I got what I wanted.

College life is fun indeed but one needs to work hard in the college too because the sheer amount of study required to make a career.

P.S. Please never believe in movies for any educational matter like I did. Your dreams might get shattered.
