Ramaiah Institute of Technology is an autonomous private engineering college affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. MSRIT was established in 1962 and is ranked 78 by NIRF 2023 among the top Engineering colleges in India. MS Ramaiah is accredited with an A grade by NAAC and NBA. It is also approved by AICTE and DSIR.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka had released the COMEDK 2025 exam date on its official website. The exam was held on May 10 but was postponed in some regions and later conducted on May 25 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It was a computer-based test for Engineering and Architecture admissions.

Ramaiah Institute of Technology Bangalore campus is quite safe for students as there is no entry permitted in the college without any prior permission or the college identity card. The college has CCTV cameras installed everywhere. There are night and morning guards ensuring the safety of students, teachers, and faculty.
