ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, is one of the leading institutes of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). ABES Engineering College is accredited by NAAC, NBA, NIRF and ISO. The college has also been awarded a 4.5-star rating by the Innovation Cell, the Ministry of Education and the Government of India for encouraging innovation at the college. The college has a good reputation for providing numerous opportunities to get placed in reputed companies. More than 2,200 jobs have been offered to the students of the class of 2021-22 and some of them have been placed in big companies like Amazon, Walmart, etc. 

ABES Engineering College offers four programs in different streams, which are taken by 5,000 students across the college. The college is making history of providing an excellent education for more than 20 years and has a strong alumni base of about 12,000. It has modern infrastructure with a rejuvenating environment. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls, a super spacious auditorium, a well-equipped sports complex, a cricket stadium with floodlights, advanced labs, a panoramic central library, a swimming pool, smart classrooms and a lot more. ABES Engineering College Hostel Facilities

ABES Engineering college has a hostel facility within the campus. It offers a separate hostel for boys and girls. There are limited seats in the hostel and hence it provides accommodation for students on a first-come, first-served basis. The campus is residential and provides a warm and welcoming environment that is full of opportunities for students' personal growth and holistic development. With comfort and ideal hospitality in mind, ABES provides a safe, comfortable, hygienic and healthy environment to the students. For the boy's hostel, the maximum capacity is 1,500, whereas, for the girl's hostel, it's 600. The hostel is about 400 meters away from the academic building on the mainland of the college. 

Hostel Buildings of the ABES Engineering College

The college has named every hostel building after the name of a famous personality.  The buildings are divided into five parts and their names are Vivekanand Bhavan, Dayanand Bhavan, Chankya Bhavan, Arvindo Bhavan and RKV Bhavan. 

Vivekanand Bhavan is exclusively for first-year students. The majority of the rooms of this building are four-seater options. The ground floor of the building is dedicated to AC rooms. The only cafeteria inside the hostel campus is available in this building.

Dayanand Bhavan has four-seater and three-seater options. The building is home to second-year students.

Chanakya Bhavan is also reserved only for second-year students. In this building, there are only three-seater and one-seater options.

The RKV building and Arvindo building are dedicated to third-year and final-year students. The building has two-seater and single-seater options. 

Hostel Facilities

The hostel offers excellent lodging, dining and laundry facilities for both boys and girls. ABES Engineering College has three dormitories for girls and five dormitories for boys inside the campus that house approximately 1,500 students. Each hostel building is supervised by a custodian and a senior faculty member, who ensure that the residents are provided with the best amenities. To ensure the safety of hostel occupants, security guards are on duty around the clock and the residence halls are monitored by CCTV.

Each residence building has its mess hall with a kitchen and dining area, where hygienic, nutritious and healthy meals are served. Numerous cultural, sports and social activities are held for the amusement of the students. The college also organises annual fests for various festivals like Diwali, Holi etc.

In addition to various facilities, the hostel has an exclusive tennis court, a basketball court, a badminton court and a gymnasium to promote the health and fitness of the students.  

ABES Engineering College Hostel Fee Structure 

The fee structure of the hostel is different for different categories. Since the college offers lodging, laundry etc., the charges vary and are included in the total. The total fee structure category-wise is mentioned below.

Non AC rooms have an option to choose a water cooler during summer. The optional cooler charge is INR1500 per cooler per semester.

Types of Accommodation in Hostel

There are four types of hostel accommodation that ABES Engineering college offers. First-year students do not have an option to choose besides four-seater room accommodation. It mainly happens due to the high demand for rooms during the first year. Second-year onwards students have an option to choose whether they want a four-seater dormitory or something else like a three or two-seater room. Girl students have only two-seater dormitory options. Single-seater rooms are also available, which are reserved for third-year and final-year students.
