Ahmedabad University celebrates annual Management Fest, Concourse 2020

February 2, 2020: Everyone, in different aspects of their life, need management skills be it personal or professional. While managing groceries at home or solving major business problems, these skills allow us to look at problems differently and find an appropriate solution. Management fests such as ‘Concourse’ provides a platform for individuals to meet others and explore organisational competencies within oneself. These skills can help students in professional markets, operate a business or run their own company. This year, the theme decided was ‘Disruption’. The fest comprised many events related to management activities that we need to perform in daily life, such as Business Quiz, Mockstock, Case Analysis and Business Plan, followed by social and cultural events such as Ad-Mad, Selfie and dance competition.

University invites Rustom Ravanan for a Guest Lecture

September 21, 2019: Ahmedabad University invited Rustom Ravanan, former CEO and MD of Mindtree Ltd., to talk on how technology and markets in recent years have evolved hand in hand. With technology evolving at such rapid pace, the need of the hour is to continue focus on skill development. The main takeaway from this lecture for students was to be flexible so they could adapt to the evolving technology and learn the skills required for personal development, growth of an organization and the whole market in general.

'Leadership Insights' by Dr Hasmukh Adhia

August 24, 2019: As part of the lectures delivered under the "Leadership Series”, students of Ahmedabad University had the privilege to learn about the "Structure of the Indian Economy" by Dr Hasmukh Adhia (IAS), on August 23. He was the former Union Financial Secretary and Revenue Secretary in Government of India. The lecture provided an insight into the past of the Indian economy and a positive future projection. Statistics have a story and since he was a decision maker in our economy, he made the details interesting and perceptions exciting. Despite being a former bureaucrat himself, he criticised the reforms fairly and responded to all questions without any prejudice.
