University Transfers Patented Technology of Herbal Mosquito Repellant

December 20, 2019: Head of Institution Dr Dhan Prakash and Associate Eminent Dr Charu Gupta from Herbal Research and Studies Department of Amity University developed a patented technology called Herbal Mosquito Repellant. The new formulation includes herbal ingredients and essential oils that are safe and effective, naturally fragrant and have a long lasting effect without causing discomfort to the skin. In the form of agarbatti, dhoop-batti, candles or cones, the formulation was suitable for external applications, particularly in rural areas where electricity is disrupted. A Non-Disclosure Agreement-Material Transfer Agreement (NDA-MTA) was signed in May 2019 between Amity University and M/s Sway Herbal Healthcare as a result of which the formulation and technology was transferred on December 20, 2019.

University Hosts Convocation 2019 at Campus

December 20, 2019: Amity University, Noida, held the convocation ceremony at its university campus. Over 2,900 students from different discipline such as Journalism Mass Communication, Fashion Technology, Humanities and Arts were awarded their degree, diplomas and certificates. Eminent personalities such as Director General Dr Chandradeep Banerjee from Confederation of Indian Industry and Government official Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar were invited for the ceremony. University started with 120 students and currently caters to over 1,75,000 students across the globe. During the day, 50 Gold, 58 Silver, 40 Bronze medals and 17 PhDs were awarded to the meritorious students

November 19, 2019: Amity University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universiti Tenologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia, that seeks to establish the collaboration between the two academic institutions in academic, research and educational fields. The faculty, administrative staff, students, graduate students and undergraduate graduates, collaborative Study & Co-supervision of Doctoral Scholars, promotion collaboration and other scientific cooperation will engage in exchanges programmes to experience global exposure. UTP stressed the sharing of relevant scientific knowledge and resources provided by both universities in the field of science and technology
