Ashoka University to Host National Conference on Scope of K-12 Education
June 2, 2020: Ashoka University is hosting a two-day national conference on June 5-6 to discuss the scope of K-12 education. Discussions will be conducted on problems raised by the current state and approaches identified to boost the K12 spectrum in India. To make this conference meaningful, Ashoka University has invited prominent dignitaries from various races fo life with both industry and academia experience. It includes Nandan Nilekani, Chairman-Infosys and Founder-EkStep Foundation; Anita Karwal, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy; and Deepak Parekh, Chairman of HDFC. The conference will be held over Zoom and will host more than 1,300 schools, 1,100 school officials and more than 10,000 attendees in over 100 cities.
Post Covid-19, Indian education sector will be introduced to many new problems and opportunities.
The conference will be attended by many stakeholders in the world of education – school administrators, national experts, edtech associations, politicians and psychologists – who will discuss two main issues: how technologies can be applied effectively to resolve the crisis and how school leaders have to respond to the various obstacles it raises.
The conference will start at 4 pm and end at 7:15 pm on June 5 and start at 9:30 am and end at 5:20 pm on June 6.
