CUET UG Total Marks
The CUET 2027 total marks depend on the number of subjects selected by a candidate while registering for the CUET UG 2027 exam. The National Testing Agency announces the CUET marking structure and total marks in the official information bulletin at cuet.nta.nic.in. For CUET 2027, NTA is expected to release the bulletin, tentatively in the first week of January 2027.
As per last year's structure, the maximum marks for CUET per subject are 250. However, the total marks per CUET applicant are calculated based on the CUET UG subjects opted for in the CUET online form 2027. NTA states that candidates can select a maximum of 5 subjects, including one language, three or four CUET domain subjects, and a general aptitude test (if required). This means that the total possible maximum marks per student is 1250.

Below is the marking scheme used by NTA to calculate CUET UG Scores:
- Candidates will be awarded 5 marks for each correct answer
- There is a negative marking. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
- No marks will be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.
- If more than one option is found correct, 5 marks will be awarded to those who have marked any of correct options.
- If all options are found correct, 5 marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted question.
- If none of the options is found correct/ Dropped, 5 marks will be awarded to students who have attempted question.
