What is Healthcare?

The goal of healthcare is to prevent, diagnose, and treat illnesses, as well as promote overall well-being. Access to quality healthcare is considered a fundamental right, and healthcare systems around the world vary in their structures and methods of delivery. National healthcare policies, insurance systems, and public health initiatives all play a role in shaping the overall healthcare landscape in a given country.

Why BBA(HM)?

Studying hospital management can be a rewarding and valuable pursuit for individuals interested in healthcare administration and leadership. The healthcare industry is continually expanding, creating a need for skilled professionals who can effectively manage healthcare organizations. The healthcare sector tends to offer job stability and a variety of career opportunities. Individuals with a background in hospital management may find employment in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and healthcare consulting firms.

Our Role as a Faculty

Education is the key to success. As a faculty of hospital management I try to teach and train students on different healthcare papers. As healthcare is a booming sector and the demand for job is huge in this domain.  My responsibility includes beyond traditional teaching to include research, mentoring, and contributing to the development and improvement of healthcare management education.

Mode of Teaching

We follow “KNOWLEGDE EMPOWERS YOU”. As a departmental faculty I believe that all my students should understand the basics of healthcare so that they can work with reputed healthcare setups. I prefer delivering lectures covering all theoretical concepts and then providing consolidated notes including assignments based on topics. We have well equipped digital class room set ups where delivering PPTs becomes easier. We engage students in group discussions, sharing insights, perspectives, and solutions to healthcare management challenges. Collaborative learning promotes teamwork and communication skills.

Assessment Methods

Exams, quizzes, and assignments evaluate students understanding of theoretical concepts. Assessing practical skills through presentations, reports, and projects gauges’ students' ability to apply knowledge.

My Role as a Placement Coordinator

Internships provides opportunities to place students in actual healthcare settings, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical context. I am responsible for overall management of the placement of the students in hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers and insurance companies in West Bengal and also in other states. We have a remarkable placement record placing approximate 85% of the students of the current batch. We provide internship opportunities to all our students in hospitals such as- Desun, Fortis, CMRI, BM Birla, BMRC, Peerless Hospital.  We conduct Visiting hospitals, healthcare facilities, and relevant organizations provide students with firsthand exposure to the healthcare environment.
