The Interview process for the IMS Ghaziabad generally takes place in three rounds; the first round is (GD) Group Discussion, which is followed by WAT (Writing Ability test) and the final round is (PI) Personal Interview. The interview process at the Institute of Management Studies is based on current affairs and can be practised by covering the basics of GD-WAT-PI. The main point of the interview process is to know the background and confidence. The interview usually takes place after the exam. The students who clear the exam are eligible for the interview session. The questions asked in the interview are generally:
- To introduce oneself
- Reason to choose the college
- Expectations from the Organisation
- What are the placement expectations from college after the completion of the particular course?
- About the field chosen by the candidate
- About the future- Where does the candidate see himself in the next five years
- Reasons to choose the particular course
The students who are shortlisted become eligible for the PI rounds. In this round, three to four experts ask questions from the shortlisted candidates. The questions asked in the PI rounds can be generalised as well as based on personal life. The duration of each PI round is generally 15-25 minutes. In WAT, students are asked to write something. So, that the interviewer can check the writing skills of the candidate.

PI-WAT has three slots in a day and the slots have different numbers of candidates. The number of candidates in a slot depends on the interviewer or the organisation. In a slot there are groups and those groups have several candidates. Generally, there are three slots in a day and each slot has 20 groups those 20 groups have 15 students each, which means 3,600 students go for PI round at a time in the Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad.
Tips to clear PI round at IMS
- Don’t use Jargon- Jargon is sometimes not the same for everyone. The person sitting in front may not be aware of the jargon used. A similar word can have a different meaning.
- Make the content strong- The content should be interesting and catchy; so, that the interviewer is influenced by the content.
- Be confident- The master key in an interview is being confident.
- Take time- Rather than saying anything in nervousness, take time and think and give the correct answer after thinking.
- Revise- One should always focus on checking the things before sitting in PI.

A.) Take your time and think, if one does not know the answer to the question one can always say that he/she does not know the answer rather than giving the wrong answer which creates a wrong impression on the person.

A.) The main point in clearing the GD round is to be confident, have strong communication skills and not get confused by the questions. One must remember to speak politely.
