Q1. What are the salient features of the teaching methodology adopted by your college? How does this differ from others?

The inclusion of Case based teaching where the cases are used along with subject teaching for better understanding. This methodology is more application-based.  This is different from other institutes who are also using the cases as part of pedagogy  by articulation and moderation. One important illustration is to integrate different concepts related to any case. Sometimes another professor with relevant background helps the lead professor in the same classroom.  

Q2. How are you preparing your students to be Industry ready?

Students are exposed to a better front of development by being exposed to academic knowledge, applications of learning by doing, actions from ideas to prototypes, and documented research. Also the expectations of present-ability to meet the industry need by the presence of CPMP as finishing sessions. These three different sides make the development more all round and industry ready.

Q3. What are the qualities you are looking for in student applicants? What qualities do they need to do well in your course?

Good readers and problem solvers with analytical minds are mostly important in Analytics other than hard skills. Subject knowledge is important which is a prerequisite for applying analytical tools. So they must do well in the first 3 terms before considering Business Analytics. 

Q4. How do you ensure that your course curriculum is up to date and meets industry requirements?

The industry is changing and evolving fast. This can be in sync by continuous research, publications and industry practice. Regular update of the curriculum being sync to those can ensure the up to date and can meet industry requirements. 

Q5. Is your college receptive to innovation, technology, science & entrepreneurship? How? Could you cite some examples of these?

This institute is at the forefront in the aspect of innovation & entrepreneurship by introducing PGPIRE (IRE stands for Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship) course by professors including mentoring with the objective of making prototypes and documented research to apply the subject knowledge they are gaining from classrooms. Along with this IRE TEDx and IRE talks introduce the view of successful entrepreneurs to share their skill and thoughts of management and business to inspire them.
