Christ University Campus Area

Each campus of Christ University has a hostel facility for the out-station students, which is separate for male and female students.

Christ University, founded in 1969, is a Deemed University, with its main campus in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The university campuses have facilities for research studies, libraries and information centres consisting of books and journals on multiple disciplines. IT services offering services in the admission process, online classes, live streaming of events, ERP, library, LMS, Wi-Fi-facility, research labs, one main auditorium with a large seating capacity and state-of-the-art facilities, mini auditoriums, amphitheatres, open-air theatres and galleries, six-academic peer-reviewed journals and CHRISTITE magazines are available. Each campus has a hostel facility for the out-station students, which is separate for male and female students. The campuses have many cafeterias which are available for day scholars and hostellers.  

Facilities at Christ University

1. Library and Information Centre 

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) campuses have a library and information centres which are open around the clock. They have a wide collection of books and journals on multiple disciplines. It also has a facility for the students to access books and journals online. The students can access the services through a unique identification number. The timings of the library are 8 AM to 9 PM.

2. Placement Cell

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) campuses have a placement cell, which provides training and placement opportunities for the students. The departments have their elected placement representatives, who help in organising development and upskilling training programs. The final year students are given the opportunity to sit for placements with companies visiting for recruitment.

3. Health and Wellness 

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) campuses have qualified doctors and nurses with an ambulance facility available at all the campuses to attend to any untoward situation. The university places equal importance on mental and physical health and has counsellors and well-being specialists available on the campuses for the students to discuss any issues or problems.

4. IT services 

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) campuses have a Wi-Fi facility available around the campus. Other IT services include the online admission process, online classes and streaming of events online to the public. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and computers for presentations and efficient learning.

5. Hostel/Accommodation Facilities

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) campuses have hostel and accommodation facilities for out-station students. There are separate hostels available for males and females. Security guards are posted at the entrance of the hostels throughout the day and night and CCTV surveillance is available in common areas for additional security. The hostel wardens are appointed for each hostel and are responsible for maintaining decorum on the premises. The intake number of the students is limited and the students are required to request the hostel facilities during admission itself. The hostels are available within walking distance from the campuses. 

6. Labs 

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) encourages a research culture in its students. For this, the university campuses have multiple labs associated with each department. It includes science labs, engineering labs, computer labs, language labs, performance studios, incubation, media labs and innovation centres.

7. Green Campus 

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) campuses are known for their aesthetic and green landscapes with rich flora and fauna. The campuses emphasise garbage segregation at source, rainwater harvesting initiatives and paper recycling. They conduct audits annually to maintain a green ecosystem on the campuses. They have rainwater and sewage water treatment units on the campuses managed by the Centre for Social Action (CSA). 

8. Auditoriums 

Christ (Deemed-to-be University) campuses have a main auditorium with a large seating capacity and state-of-the-art facilities. There are various mini-auditoriums and amphitheatres to host cultural events.

9. Transport Facilities  

The campuses provide bus facilities to all the day scholars and faculty members with their commute. The facilities can be availed for inter-campus visits, academic field trips and industrial visits.

10. Cafeteria 

The campuses have multi-cuisine eateries and cafeterias that serve vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Department of Hotel management provides formal dining spaces. The cafeteria services can be availed by both hostellers and day scholars.

11. Recreational Areas  

Christ University campuses have corners and pergolas, where the students can sit and have sessions for analysis, jam sessions, play board games and come up with innovative ideas. The campuses have areas for students to chitchat with their peers and friends, debates or special day celebrations.

12. PlayGround 

The campuses have grounds for conducting extra-curricular activities. There are indoor and outdoor sports facilities available. Christ conducts competitions and tournaments all year round to promote extracurricular activities.

13. Security 

The campuses have security guards available at all the campus gates and within the campus. They are believed to be the custodians of peace and security on the campuses.
