IGNOU extends last date for assignment and exam form submission until June 30

The Open University extended the submission deadline of examination forms, assignments and projects, internships, field journals, or dissertations for the IGNOU term-end exams (TEE) until June 30

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) extended the deadline to submit examination forms, assignments and projects, internships, field journals, or dissertations for the IGNOU term-end exams (TEE) until June 30. The university also extended the deadline for online examination form submission of June TEE to June 30 (without late fee).

The official notification released by IGNOU in this regard reads, “Owing to the further extension of the lockdown on account of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the last date for submission of exam form, assignment and project has been extended till June 30, 2020, by the university.”

To ensure the safety of the students amid the ongoing pandemic situation, IGNOU is accepting the project work and submissions through online modes this year. Earlier, the last date to submit the assignments digitally was June 15. However, now the students can submit their assignments until June 30.

How to submit the IGNOU assignment online?

Students who are yet to submit their assignments online can follow the steps given below for hassle-free submission:

Step 1: Visit ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Click on ‘online project upload’ link under ‘alert’

Step 3: A New page will open

Step 4: Click on ‘click here to upload project’

Step 5: Read instructions, click the checkbox

Step 6: Upload documents

Step 7: Verify the details and submit

Along with this enrolment for the IGNOU July admission cycle is also started. The IGNOU admissions 2020 are open for distance learning courses for bachelors, masters, PG diploma, diploma, certificate, and all other programmes. The last date to apply is July 31. This year, IGNOU is also ensuring provisional admissions for the candidates as the declaration of various results is delayed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the last date for IGNOU PhD and IGNOU OPENMAT (MBA) entrance exam 2020 is also extended by the National Testing Agency along with various other entrance exams and eligibility tests. The last date to submit online forms for IGNOU PhD and IGNOU OPENMAT 2020 is June 30. However, earlier the online submission was supposed to end on June 15. 

Announcing the extension of the last dates of various entrance exams, HRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Tweeted, "In view of many requests received from the students and the hardships faced by them due to #COVID19 epidemic, I have advised @DG_NTA to further extend the last dates of submission of Online Application Forms for various examinations"
