I choose Shaheed Rajguru College due to the various opportunities that the college provides. The college is affiliated with Delhi University and is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade and is approved by UGC. I was influenced by the college placement and the lab facilities that the college provides are phenomenal this was one of the five colleges from DU which has a BSc (H)  in microbiology and The college NIRF ranking was also good as it was ranked 37 by NIRF when I decided to choose the college. The college has good infrastructure and hostel facilities.

I have been admitted to the college in 2021 at that time the admission process was merit-based. The college releases its merit list based on the score scored by the students in class 12th. The merit list is released three times a year with different scores. The merit list for the students of the General category/SC/ST/OBC category was released and the students who fall under the list are eligible to take admission. The admission process can be done online on the portal of Delhi University. The admission is considered complete once the fee is submitted online. I am currently pursuing BSc (H) in Microbiology. I will be graduating in the year 2024. The college is situated in Vasundhara Enclave near Mayur Vihar, Delhi.

I chose this course as I was interested in doing something related to microbes and I love to study microscopic organisms. I feel like the study of microbiology is very important as microorganisms are present everywhere in almost everything. So, studying them gives you a better understanding of those around you. This course provides you with the learning of diseases and methods to prevent them. There are around 13 specializations in microbiology namely-
