Amity Gurugram fulfilled my aim to pursue a 4-year long course in Healthcare, says Aishwarya Kakkar

For me, I had only two conditions for an undergraduate degree. First, it should be in a field related to healthcare because my interest was never in the immediate medical field, but something that is more flexible in nature, and second, my course should be four-year long which is mandatory if you would want to opt for continued education in the US and Canada.

Completing my education from Canada’s Peel Board had many advantages. I had opted for Science with Maths in both Class 11 and 12. Whereas, I had also opted for Kinesiology and Social Sciences in Class 12. My exposure in various fields has been vast because of the options I was presented within Canada. I wanted to pursue my undergraduate education there as well. However, due to some family circumstances, we had to move back to India. I came back knowing that my calling lies in healthcare.

For me, I had only two conditions for an undergraduate degree. First, it should be in a field related to healthcare because my interest was never in the immediate medical field, but something that is more flexible in nature, and second, my course should be four-year long which is mandatory if you would want to opt for continued education in the US and Canada. I did not give any entrances and had no second choice. I opted for a nice private university which offered my course. Fortunately, it ended up exceeding my expectations. Amity University, Gurgaon was the only place I applied and I got it.

For me, my education is as important as my personality development. I am not the most studious person out there but I certainly try doing my best in each and every subject. I enjoy both the clinical and theoretical aspects of my course thoroughly. Amity University Gurugram has an ASLP Clinic with the best equipment and faculty who are always guiding us. Aside from the academic point of view, there are also the extracurricular activities that I take a keen interest in. Acting has been a major influencer in my college life and because of which I have also become the Assistant Director of Amity Dramatic Society- Ek Awaaz. This also brought me to event management and increased my love for the stage, not only as an actor but also as a host and anchor. I have hosted over 40 events in four semesters which has been nothing short of amazing for me. A lot of these events were for a youth empowerment organisation called SAAKAR which gives back to society in so many ways while building the leaders of tomorrow. University life has been excellent for me, thanks to Amity University Gurugram.

Yes, BSc students can apply for scholarships at Amity University Gurugram. These scholarships are offered under merit-based schemes in either CUET-UG scores or Class 12 board exams.

Students will need to score at least 80% in Class 12 board exams and over 85% in CUET-UG to secure any scholarship.
