Overcoming Doubts, Distance, and Deadlines: My Journey at Bharati College

3 mins readUpdated on Jul 3, 2025 12:24 IST

My Class 12 experience was not the best due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I faced many challenges during the time lockdown was imposed across India. During the same time, I was preparing for the CUET entrance exam, which was a challenge in itself. It was hard to find reliable study material while preparing for the same.

Nonetheless, after long hours of self-studying and dedication, I appeared for the exam. I was pleased to see that I had scored well in CUET. Still, I faced uncertainty and self-doubt about whether I would be able to get into a good college or not.

Clearing CUET

After scoring well in CUET, it was time to see whether I was going to score well. When the time came for the first admission round, I opted for Bharati College. The reason behind this decision was mainly that this college suited best to my field of study.

Q:   How can I get admission in Bharati College?
A:

In 2022, Bharati College (like all DU affiliated colleges) adopted CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses. Bharati College admission 2024 for UG courses (as per DU) will be through Common Seat Allocation System of the University of Delhi. But, at first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

Step 2: Submit Bharati College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard. Here student must select their preferred course and college as the option.

Step 3: The University releases dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the Bharati College will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

Step 5: Once Bharati College accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.

Q:   How to apply for Bharati College DU UG and PG CSAS registration?
A:

Candidates can check the step-by-step process for Bharati College DU UG and PG CSAS registration mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official CSAS portal of DU (UG or PG depending on the course level a student is seeking to get into) and register as a new user.

Step 2: Fill out the preference of Bharati College and course combinations. This portal will be used until the admission process of the candidate is not completed.

Step 3: There is a one-time CSAS UG and CUET PG-2023 application fee that students are required to pay to get into any DU affiliated college, such as Bharati College. This fee is non-refundable.

All the struggle I faced while studying for the CUET exam was worth it when I found out that I have finally secured admission in Bharati College. This was a big achievement for me.

Experience at the College

On my first day at the college, I felt a great sense of gratitude. I had achieved something that many are still unable to do. Most of my first year at the college was spent exploring and socialising. For me, college is not just about academics, one also learns various other aspects of life while being in a college.

I joined a society, played several sports, and made new friends in the first year itself. I also volunteered in the annual fest. Experiencing the annual fest was a surreal experience for me. The faculty at the college is very good. My professors have been very helpful throughout my journey. They are well-educated and have years of experience in their respective fields.

My professors conducted regular classes, helped the students and gave marks to students leniently, in hopes of making every single student pass the tests.

The canteen is great at this college. The food provided is good and there are many options to choose from. Students do not have any issues with the canteen food here. The infrastructure is also good, and it is well maintained.

Managing College Life

While in college, I did learn a lot and also faced many challenges. One of those challenges was managing different aspects of my college life. It has been quite a challenge managing studies, college society, sports, and earning at the same time. It takes me around 2 hours to reach my college, which is no easy task.

I also started working as a part-time tuition teacher after coming back from college. I wish to be able to bear my expenses myself, which is going good so far.

After tuition, I also have to do my own studying. My college life right now includes a lot of things, which often leaves me with a little time for myself. However, so far, I am determined to learn and grow even if it takes some struggle.

College has turned me into a more responsible individual who constantly strives for greatness. If done well and with dedication, I am sure any other student will be able to achieve the same during their college journey.

Conclusion

I am currently in my third year at this college. My college journey has been full of learning and growing. I faced challenges, roadblocks and even self-doubt, but my hunger for a better future career has always motivated me. My peers and parents have also played a vital role in my journey.

As I am soon about to pass out, I am certain that I can achieve my future career goals with the help of the same mindset I have right now.
