The University has collaborated with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for this programme. In a conversation with Shiksha.com, Amity University’s faculty talks about one of its most coveted programmes MBA in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. The University has collaborated with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for this programme. Students, who plan to study this course, can read this edited excerpt of the conversation that revolves around information, including eligibility criteria, admission process, fee structure and placement trends.

 Q: What is the process to get admission in MBA in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from CII School of Logistics, Amity University?

A: For admission in MBA programme, the applicant must have a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent in graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

Eligible students can apply online on the University’s website by paying an application fee of Rs 1,100. Amid the current pandemic situation, the university is not holding any entrance exam or Group Discussion round but we will be organising Personal Interview rounds through video conferencing. The performance in the interview round will play a key role in admission confirmation of the student.

It is optional for students to appear for nationally accepted qualifying exams such as CAT, MAT, GMAT and XAT.

Q: How is the curriculum designed? What are the different specialisation options available to students?

A: The curriculum widely covers end to end SCM activities in organisations, encompassing the SCM essentials, planning, strategy formulation, IT, global trade, best practices, supply management, costing and sourcing. CII helps students in getting employed in the sector of SCM and Logistics. The curriculum is designed as per the Industry requirements that helps any graduate to make good carrier. It also includes regular industrial visits to companies such as Taloja industrial visit, Fieldwork on freight transportation, Kellogg's, Owens Corning, Snowman Logistics, E-Com express, Logistics summit, JNPT port and Reserve Bank of India Headquarters. Also, the institute invites prominent dignitaries from across the globe to deliver guest lectures.

Q: What is the total cost of the programme? Are students offered scholarship or loan assistance?

A: The cost of the programme varies depending on location. The cost of this course at Noida campus is Rs 8.61 lakh whereas the cost of the programme at the Mumbai campus is Rs 8.21 lakh.

The institute also offers scholarships to students based on their academic performance and scores of any nationally accepted qualifying exam (which is optional for students). The final scholarship is at University’s discretion.

The University also has tie-ups with banks who provide educational loans to students. The management supports the students with all possible documentation.

Q: Can you share some insights on placements?

A: The institute has a track record of 100 per cent placement and placement assistance. Renowned companies such as Gati, TVS, Mahindra Logistics, Safexpress, Flipkart, PWC and FSC actively participate in the placement season. University has reported an average package of Rs 5.5 lakh and the highest package of Rs 8.5 lakh in MBA programme as of now.
