Woxsen Design Test (WDT) For B.Des (Hons.)

Woxsen has in place a step-wise admission process for our B.Des (Hons.) Graduate Program.

Step-1 Submit Your Application with SOP

Submit your design application before the deadline and include a Statement of Purpose (SOP) in which you can explain your motivation behind pursuing this course, and mention relevant achievements and your current and future goals. In short, convince the University on why they should take you for the program.

Step 2- Appear For WDT

Students have to take the Woxsen Design Test to get admitted into B.Des (Hons.) graduate program at Woxsen. This test categorically evaluates your creative abilities, general aptitude and drawing/sketching skills. There are certain sections which carry questions based on the specialisation candidates choose. At Woxsen we have four main Design Specializations- Fashion Design, Interior Design, Communication Design, and Industrial Design. Alternatively, you may provide your scores from NIFT, NID, UCEED, SAT, or CUET to clear this round of the admission process.

Step 3 - Psychometric Test

If you clear the WDT, you'll then be asked to take the psychometric test. This test gauges your personality. You can practise online mock tests and work on verbal, quantitative, and reasoning questions which could be helpful for this round. However, honesty is key in the personality test.

Step 4 - Personal Interview

Successful candidates will be called for the personal interview round. The interview panel will evaluate your creative skills, subject knowledge and communication abilities. Put your best foot forward for this round.

Step 5 - Secure Your Admission

Once you successfully clear all of the above rounds, you'll receive an admission offer. Secure your seat by paying the initial fee. With this step, you're on your way to joining one of India's top design institutes.

Eligibility Requirements at Woxsen

 To be eligible for B.Des (Hons.):

1. Students should have completed their 10+2 education in Science, Commerce, Maths, or an equivalent field.
2. They should have a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam.
3. Fluency in English with strong communication skills is preferred.

Scholar’s Round: A Unique Scholarship Opportunity

The university encourage candidates with a strong academic background to apply for our Scholar’s Round. Candidates with notable merit are awarded a 10% scholarship on top of our merit-based scholarships of up to 50%. It's important to note that applying for the Scholar’s Round does not guarantee the scholarship. The selection panel will assess candidates based on specific criteria, and only successful candidates will be awarded the scholarship.
