I'm satisfied with the placement opportunities and faculty members are supportive.
Placements: Around 90% of students get placed in our course. Most of the students get placed in a campus placement drive. The highest salary package offered is 16 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 5 LPA. Vedanta and GMDC are the top recruiting companies for our course. Every student secured internships in our course and different mining sectors. Top roles offered are a manager and in charge in the mining sector.
Infrastructure: There is a free Wi-Fi in the campus and hostel. There is a undergoing construction for the central library. Every classrooms has attached smart boards and green boards. Quality of food is good and available in canteen. Hostels are not in good condition. Medical facilities are also available. College has great facilities for sports, games, NCC, and NSS.
Faculty: Teachers are good, well-qualified, and knowledgeable but they don't teach us in an effective way for better understaning. College environment is peaceful, student-friendly, and pollution-free. Semester exams in our college are not so difficult. Most of the students pass successfully.
Other: I chose this college because of the several placement opportunities in our course. Best thing about the college is placement in our mining department. College infrastructure can be better. College and department organize different events and fests. Scholarships are provided to all the students. Many extra-curricular activities are organized.

Mining is the best course here - be wise.
Placements: Around 30 to 40 percent of students got placed, with the highest package being around 16 LPA and the lowest around 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course were Vedanta, JSW, and OMC. Almost 70 to 80 percent of the students got internships at OMC, MCL, Vedanta, and many others. I don't have information about the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not as I expected when I first got admission. There are labs for many subjects and a library, but it could be better considering the legacy this college has. Regarding the quality of the facilities, it is not so good. If you have any chronic disease or frequent health issues, please don't come here.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. I think the course curriculum is relevant and makes the students somewhat industry-ready, but it could be better. The exams were difficult. I am not sure what the pass percentage means here; if it's about the minimum marks, it's around 35 percent.
Other: Mining is the best course at this college, and it provides you with a definite future. I want the infrastructure of the college to be improved.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. The canteen is good. The library is available in our college. The hostel facilities are good. They conduct many sports activities.
Faculty: Our teachers are good. They are supportive. They conduct a semester exam and 2 internal exams. They conduct many functions. Students get satisfied with the teachers. Our college is good in terms of education.

I am satisfied because of placements, infrastructure, facilities and quality education.
Placements: Nearly 40% of the students got placed in renowned companies like Vedanta, IMFA, JSW, etc. They offered the role of assistant engineer. We also get maximum internships. Top roles offered by companies are assistant engineers and assistant managers. Training is available for newcomers to the company.
Infrastructure: Our college has well-furnished, well-lighted and well-ventilated classrooms with a smart class system. It is a Wi-Fi campus, and labs are also well-equipped. The library is well-organised. The mess serves the average quality of food. Sports and games availability is good. Medical facilities are not available within the campus premises.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. In the mining course, we study practical things that are used in industries, and by internships and vocational training, we gain fieldwork experience. We learn real-life problems and solutions.
Other: GCE Keonjhar is the only technical government-owned college to provide courses of B.Tech in mining and mineral engineering, so I have chosen mining engineering.

Our institute is excellent, but we need to maintain unity in our college.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students are placed from our college. The salary offered is Rs. 30,000-60,000 per month. Vedanta is the top recruiting company. Mines manager and other government DDM or IBM sector roles are offered. The lowest salary offered in our course is Rs. 30,000 per month, the average salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 60,000 per month. Almost 100% of students got internships in OMC, Vedanta and IMFA.
Infrastructure: There is open Wi-Fi, well-designed labs and instruments classrooms, library, conference hall, dance room, etc. Canteen food is value for money, and the college provides a good medical facility. We can play cricket, football, badminton, kabaddi, basketball, etc., but still, we need a playground.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and graduated from IIT, NITS, etc. They are very helpful. Students are industry-ready. Faculty members of our college are highly qualified and helpful, so there is no problem for first-year students.
Other: I choose this course because I have great courage in mining. I think that we need more lab faculty members for our labs. Our college is situated in a good study environment where there is no political or private disturbance, so our college is great to make our goals true.Everything is up to the mark.

Good placements in 2016 batch- all placed (100%), less exposure due to lack of good faculties.
Placements: 1. 40% placement (2019 batch, because of increase in intake seats ), 60% placement (2018 batch) and 90% placement (2017) 2. The highest salary- 7LPA, Average-4LPA, the lowest- 2.8 LPA 3. Top companies are Vedanta private Limited. , IMFA, Serajjuddin, Triveni EarthMovers, etc. 4. Graduate Mining Engineer (Trainee) is the top role. 5. 2.8-7 LPA, Average- 3.8 are the packages offered in my course. 6. 20-30% of students got internship (CSIR-CIMFR, MCL, TATA Joda, Triveni, HCL, Vedanta, etc. ).
Infrastructure: 1. Facilities like Wi-FI, Labs (Rock Mechanics, mine machinery, Geology, Environment), Classrooms are up to mark (New Building), Library (all types of Engineering and Management related Books), Conference Hall, Seminar Hall, canteen. medical Facilities are not good 2. For hostel quality of food: 3/5 canteen: yes hostel fees: INR 36,600 per year (all-inclusive food, Wi-Fi, cleaning, etc. ). Sports and Games: not good (badminton field, table tennis, carrom, volleyball), cleanliness: 3/5. medical facilities: no.
Faculty: 1. yes, somehow they were, but they are not up to mark. Teaching quality is very poor. Classes are not happening regularly. Only the formalities that they are maintaining. 2. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry ready because now the department is organizing the national seminar on CPMAI- Current Practices in Mining & Allied Industries once in an academic session (yearly) from 2017. also with the help of TIQIP-III many events and Tech-fest are conducting on behalf of the departments.
Other: 1. I chose this course as it is a unique course and intake as a comparison to other courses is quite negligible. The best things about the courses are more priority than other department students. More exposure, placements offers chances are more, alumni network is quite strong. 2. Improvements: quality teaching. Relations between college and industries. Network building with higher institutions like IIT Kharagpur, IIT ISM Dhanbad, IIT BHU Varanasi, NIT Rourkela. 3. Events: the QUEST, BHAUMIKI (Geology Quiz), Geobotics, surveys, etc. Fest: Techno-Cultural Fest "UTKARSH" Connectivity: not good Campus Crowd: during the tech-fest. Campus surrounding: up to some extent, natural beauty. Scholarship: yes. DHE (10000) Prerana (up to 45000) Extra co-curricular Activities: no (only during tech fest and events).

Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar reviewed.
Placements: Almost most of the students in Mining branch get placed in reputed mining firms like Vedanta, Jindal, etc. But in the past 3-4 years the placements scenario is pretty bleak because of the global recession in the mining sector. The rest of the students attend pool campus in other government colleges. There's a placements committee that looks into the placements for the students. GET roles are offered. It's not recommended for other branches only if you are interested in Mining engineering it's perfect for you. Because you have a vast alumni network working in every big mining firm ranging from Aditya Birla group, Dalmia Group, Coal India, L&T, Jindal Steel, Lafarge Holcomb group, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostels are connected with Hi speed wi-fi. Library isn't that great though. The quality of food available in hostel canteen is cheap and if good quality. The hostels have 3 sharing rooms and it's pretty big. The washrooms are present in every wing which is shared by 6 rooms. And there's a gym, Meeting hall too.
Faculty: The permanent faculty members, a bunch of contractual faculty members are master's degree holders and quite helpful but the rest are not quite helpful. Course curriculum by bput is outdated. The should be more emphasis on field and practical training if students as they are future engineers they should get hands on experience of what they are about to deal with after graduating.
Other: Most of the students apply for DHE scholarship, there are annual events, freshers welcome events, tech fest, sports meet, connectivity is tricky as it is situated on the outskirts of the Keonjhar town.

If someone wants to make his career in mining feild then its the best college.
Placements: Most of the students who are getting placements are of mining engineering branch. Some students of metallurgy, mineral and mechanical arr getting placed. And almost no placement for electrical engineering students. As the civil and computer Science branch is newly added so no branch have graduated yet.
Infrastructure: The main building consists of 3 blocks and one newly made block. The building looks enchanting but inside it is not well maintained. Bathrooms do not get cleaned and the most parts of college remains dirty. Boys and girls are well maintained but there is no playground of the college.
Faculty: There are 14 permanent faculty members. 7 for electrical branches and 2 for mining branch. Other 5 are the hod's of the other branches. The college offers B.Tech courses in all 7 branches that is mining, mineral, electrical, mechanical, metallurgy, computer Science and civil engineering. Each branches takes it students to study tour and feild tour.
Other: Annual cultural event "utkarsh" takes place every year. Tech fest also happens during same time. Sports such as cricket, football, badminton, volleyball and athletics. No Wi-Fi connectivity in rhe campus.
