Review of Odisha University of Technology and Research.
Placements: Our course had an average placement rate of approximately 95%. The maximum package provided was 47 LPA, and the minimum was 3 LPA. Around 90% of students got internships in different firms. Good recruiters such as Amazon, TCS, Microsoft, NALCO, and Deloitte provided both placements and internships with good packages.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in our hostel included Wi-Fi, drinking water, light, fans, and beds. Fully air-conditioned classrooms were available in our college. A central library was available on our campus, and books could be issued to students. The quality of food in the mess was average. There were three canteens on our campus. The fast food was good. We had a small ground to play different sports like volleyball, football, and cricket.
Faculty: Faculty members were approachable and assisted with concept clarification and doubt-solving, preparing students for real-world industry. However, due to a general lack of student focus, the pass percentage remained just above 50%. Still, teachers were supportive.

The college has really very good facilities.
Placements: 85%-90% of students get placed in my course, which is very good for all the students. According to my knowledge, 40 LPA-50 LPA is the highest package offered, and 10 LPA-12 LPA is the average package. NTPC and MSI are some of the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: All the facilities, like Wi-Fi, are available on the campus. You'll get to do all the experiments in labs. The teachers in the lab are very cooperative. The medical facilities, sports, and games are also available. The quality of food in the hostel is also very good.
Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, knowledgeable, and they help us a lot. A 5 CGPA is the passing grade. It's not that difficult to pass the semester. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready because we are doing a lot of projects in this.
Other: I've always had an interest in choosing a field related to the electrical field, which is why I chose Electrical. You'll also get scholarships from the college. The best thing about the course is that you'll get to know a lot about the industrial field, like you'll do a lot of projects.

In short, I can say that buildings need renovation, and placements are decent.
Placements: I haven't completed my UG but as far as I know, placements are decent. I think placements depend more on the person than college. You should build your CV so strong that companies line up to hire you. Many companies come for placement. One can find the statistics on the official website of OUTR.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi has good speed. Labs and library are good. Lifts are there in some buildings but sometimes they just stop working. Hostel also has lifts but the same problem. Hostel rooms are good but some rooms need maintenance. There are 2 hostels for boys and girls. Two new hostels for boys are under construction.
Faculty: Semester exams are not always that difficult if you have studied. Teachers in college just provide notes. Some don't even do that. It all depends on you. Never depend on the faculty members to complete the syllabus. You should make your own study plans.
Other: I am in electrical engineering. According to me, being in the core branch gives many opportunities to those who still have not decided whether they want to be in software line or core line.

For students aiming for good placements in B.Tech is a nice choice.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students got placed [data of 2024]. The highest salary is 42 LPA, and the average pacakge offered is 6.7 LPA. Companies like Accenture, L&T, and Amazon are top recruiting companies for electrical branch. Minimum [estimated] 70% of students get into internships in electrical branch. Top roles offered are (power system, telecommunication, and control system).
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for electrical department in the outer is quite good, with the highest number of faculty members. Wi-Fi is available 24X7. Labs are good and are provided with maximum new technology. Library has all the required books and contains a variety of authors. Classrooms in the lab building are fine. But overall, classrooms are not as good as private institutions. Hostel for girls is good with filtered water and proper hygiene, with available Wi-Fi connections. Food quality is average not that good.
Faculty: Teachers in our branch are well-qualified with great knowledge. They are helpful. Curriculum of this course is average. Around 5th and 6th semesters, they make students industry-ready. Semester exams are average, and pass percentage is around 37%.

It's a government-aided institute to pursue your education in a Bachelor's course, good placements.
Placements: Right now, I am in 2nd year of B.Tech in electrical engineering, and in our branch, placement statistics are pretty good. The highest package is 15 LPA, and the average is 7.6 LPA. Msil, Vedanta, Accenture, Asian Paints, Kfintech, and many more are top recruiting companies. Around 85% of students secured internships from different IITs and NITs. Top roles include executive engineer and assistant engineer in the initial period.
Infrastructure: The campus of our college is good enough, with classrooms, study rooms, a library, and labs for different branches. Talking about the hostel, it is average; food quality is moderate, and medical and sports facilities need improvement. Considering the transportation facilities, they need improvement.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good; the concepts are clear and properly explained, and teachers help us a lot by guiding us and helping us prepare for exams. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant; the basic concepts and terminology for industrial purposes are completely met, and doing internships, you would be ready enough. The semester exams are moderate enough, sometimes tough as well, and 33% is the basic requirement to pass the semester.
Other: Electrical is an independent, limitless branch with unlimited opportunities in every sector and job field. We do need a lot more to improve, like good equipment, better lab experiments, and practical knowledge through projects and research. Events and fests are nice, the crowd is decent, and campus connectivity is average.

OUTR BBSR is a good option for engineering students to seek affordable engineering education.
Placements: OUTR Bhubaneswar has been steady placement trends over the years with IT-related branches performing better as compared to the core. The highest package is 44.8 LPA the lowest package is 2.4 LPA Top recruiting companies for electrical branches are TCS, Maruti Suzuki, and so on.
Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped with various facilities, including a well-maintained library and impressive lab rooms. However, there is a lack of good food options in the hostel and canteen. On the positive side, sporting and gaming facilities are adequately available.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable, but the teaching quality of some instructors does not meet expectations. On the whole, the majority of the faculty excels in their teaching. The semester exams are quite challenging, and there is strict supervision during them, which makes it difficult to concentrate, especially during exams at the OUTR campus in Bhubaneswar.
Other: I chose this course because I want to prove that even a less popular branch can achieve great potential. It's all about how you manage it. I believe there should be a more lenient marking system that aligns better with the teaching style. Overall, college is filled with excitement and joy, especially when you set aside the stress of your studies.

Review of Odisha University of Technology and Research.
Placements: The placement is quite praiseworthy at this university. Since it is located in the capital region of Bhubaneswar, companies have easy access to it. An average salary package is offered 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The placement cell puts in significant effort and has a wide reach.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure and hostel facilities are very good. E-drive bikes, which are paid, are available. The Wi-Fi speed is quite good, and library has a large number of books. Medical and sports facilities are well provided. Faculty members are highly qualified from various organisations and offer extensive support.
Faculty: The curriculum is based on the GATE and ESE syllabus, with complete industrial-level experience. This enables students to have access to a wide variety of real-world engineering domains. Thus, the university syllabus helps prepare students for the real world.
Other: University organises various fests and programs throughout the year. Technical and cultural clubs arrange these events, and the social life here is very enjoyable.

Review about OUTR university.
Placements: Generally, the placement rate is 95% in our course. The highest package is 47 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. 90% of students are getting internships in various companies. Amazon, TCS, Microsoft, NALCO, Deloitte are the companies offering placements and internships also with good packages.
Infrastructure: The campus is fully Wi-Fi, and everyone is benefiting from it. You can use it everywhere, and classrooms are also Wi-Fi connected. In the library, you can get each and every book and all types of books also. There are three boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels, and the food quality is very good.
Faculty: All the teachers in the university are well-qualified, good, and friendly. They are all qualified from the best technical institutions, and they are all teaching well. The course helps the student for industry readiness. The semester exams are moderate to pass, but you have to study well for them.
Other: I chose this course to get a technical degree from a good technical institution. Everything is good except for the fewer number of hostels. Xtasy, Perception, and Zaira are the technical fests. The college is providing scholarships, and you can get a scholarship from the state government also. Various grounds are available for playing.
