A great college.

Placements: Companies like Concentric, etc., visit the college. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA. I have already been working with a salary package that is higher than what I would earn with just a 12th-grade education since the first semester. I don't believe that the degree offers good value for the money. Students pay a significant amount and spend three years in the program, only to end up earning the same as someone with just a 12th-grade diploma.

Infrastructure: I don't stay in the hostel, so I do not have any idea about it. The infrastructure is not good. Desks are not comfortable at all. Wi-Fi is not available for everyone. The library is quite good. Some rooms have walls and ceilings with holes in them. For sports, it took 3 years to replace the basketball court.

Faculty: Teachers are great. The teaching quality is great. They are supportive in every aspect. Exams are not difficult. Students have to study for 1 week per subject. The course does not make students industry-ready. I am working already, and I know how it is.

Other: I chose this college but I don't know why, but I loved it so far. It's average, but I still love it.

A college that produces leaders.

Placements: According to previous records, more than 70–80 percent of children get placed through college. Companies like TCS , Infosys, Infotech, Tata , Mahindra and many more offer job opportunities. The average package is 3.5–4 lpa. Most of the students are also provided with internships . Roles offered in our course are marketing and sales executive, banking jobs and many more.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average, according to me . WiFi facility is provided to hostelers. The classrooms are neat but can be improved. The college has a decent library but it's air conditioned. Our college is popular for sports activities and many popular sportsmen are passed out from our college. Food is provided to hostelers, which is average. Our college has medical facilities and also has an ambulance always available in college.

Faculty: The college faculty is highly qualified and very helpful in nature. All the staff members are very knowledgeable and specialized in their respective subjects. The course curriculum is relevant, which includes subjects of marketing, law , accounting, and economics. There are missemester tests and final exams (conducted by Panjab University).

The college is good with a decent and affordable fees structure .

Placements: Earlier the placement percentage was low, but recently CATALYSTRA, a placement cell, has been developed to ensure maximum placement for students. However, internship offers are quite good for the students. The placement cell ensures that most of the students get placed in good companies with a nice salary package.

Infrastructure: Our college has a good library with Wi-Fi and A. C. It offers a vast variety of books and also has good infrastructure. The hostel has a decent infrastructure with both AC and non-AC rooms. The food is very good. It ensures proper safety of the students with suitable timings.

Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable and skilled. They are friendly too. They interact with the students and help them out whenever required in a very friendly manner. The course curriculum is very good. The semester exams are carried out in a very systematic manner, and most of the students are able to pass them.

Other: The college organises several events for example, CHRONICLES and many other orientations. It offers the students to join clubs of various fields such as dance, singing, acting, social work, etc. It also organizes a 3-day annual fest called KARVAAN. The campus is well maintained with a good crowd.

Review of DAV College, Chandigarh.

Placements: DAV College offered excellent placement opportunities to students. Many well-known companies recruited students with good salary packages. Internships were provided to all students in the batch. Overall, it was a great college. The salary package offered was around 5 LPA-7 LPA.

Infrastructure: The campus was quite big. The campus was renovated to give it a completely new look. Food and medical facilities were available on campus.

Faculty: Teachers were quite good. Study materials such as notes and video lectures were great benefits. The syllabus was completed on time, and proper revision was done on all the topics, so exams were not difficult.

Other: It was a good feeling to be on the vibrant campus and meet new people from all around the country.

It is a good college, and I highly recommend it.

Placements: Our college provides good placements. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Almost 60% of students got placed. Some of them opted for higher education. Well-reputed companies visited our college like Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The canteen, library, and classrooms are well maintained and clean. Hostel services are very good. The mess food is clean, fresh and good in taste. Medical facilities and sports activities are good.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Semester exams are a little tough, and you have to prepare from the beginning to pass the examinations with good marks. All the teachers have a good personality and help students in case of any difficulties. The curriculum is average.

Other: Overall, it is a good college, and I recommend this college.

This college is better than other management colleges.

Placements: Around 70-80% of students were placed. Aditya Birla, Reliance Jio, etc., were the top recruiting companies that visit our campus to hire students. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA. The minimum salary package offered was 2.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college was good. Modern technology was provided in our classrooms like air-conditioners and big lights so that students do not feel any type of problem. They also provide a digital board so that students can view a video there for a digital study. Our college also provides hostel facilities which was very good. The food served in the mess was affordable and hygienic. They provide a 24X7 Wi-Fi connection to hostel students. The PG facility was also nearby this college, and students can also rent rooms so that students can come to this college quickly.

Faculty: In this college, student-teacher ratio was 50:1. All faculty members were masters, and every 6-month exam was conducted. An internal exam was taken every month. Teachers were very helpful to those students who come for help, and ask their queries. They were well qualified and knowledgeable in their field of subjects. The course curriculum was acceptable, and they enhance students' industrial knowledge. The semester exams were not very difficult, and the pass percentage was 70%, but around 5-6 students get back papers.

Other: I chose this course because of its better placements ratio as compared to other colleges. In this college, annual fest, freshers party, and farewell party were conducted. Many sports and extra-curricular activities were conducted so that students can be physically active and work on their sports activities. They also organise social clubs like a cultural club, sports club, dance club, etc.

It is absolutely one of the best colleges in Chandigarh in terms of studies, faculty and crowd.

Placements: I am a student of BBA 3rd year, and I would say students do get the choice of getting themselves enrolled in various placement and internship drives, and you can get an internship with around 10,000-12,000 per month. The minimum package offered is 3-3.5 LPA from various companies such as Decathlon, Code Brew, Vibgyor etc. 70-80% of students who apply for internships get their internships.

Infrastructure: The facilities provided by DAV College are quite decent. We have good classrooms, two awesome canteens that provide tasty meals at reasonable prices, and we have a good library, a reading hall, 2 auditoriums, 1 basketball ground and 1 cricket ground as well.

Faculty: The teachers are really very helpful. They help us with our doubts. They will guide us as our friends, but some of the teachers are quite strict. Overall, I would say I am glad that I got such teachers in my college life. Semester exams can be easier for the one who studies regularly and can be a bit challenging for the ones who study just 2-3 days before exams. The pass percentage may vary, but I would say if you study atleast 1 hour everyday, you don't need to worry.

Other: I chose this course because I was a commerce student in my school. I am from Jammu, and I did not get any good college. DAV college is considered to be the number 1 college in Chandigarh. The college conducts a lot of events and fests and exhibitions throughout the year. Many celebrities do visit the campus for promotions.

I think the placement and internship opportunities could be improved.

Placements: Around 15%-25% of students get placements from BBA course of our college. They got the starting salary package of around 6 LPA to 7.5 LPA. Companies which recruit them are Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Infosys. Around 50% of students get internships from our college.

Infrastructure: There are many facilities in our college like separate computer labs and science labs for students to understand the concept practically. There is also a library and separate reading rooms for students, but the books available in the library are not up to date as they are from 2000 models. The hostels have a moderate infrastructure, and there are limited rooms for students. The quality of food served is also moderate and like homemade food. Our college also has a huge cricket ground and basketball ground for students who are interested in sports.

Faculty: The teachers here are well qualified and helpful to students. The teachers explain the concept well, but if you don't attend lectures, the teachers do not repeat the concept easily. BBA course helps students to communicate and present themselves well in society. Exams are difficult, and the pass percentage is 35%.

Other: I have chosen BBA course because I am interested in doing business and want to expand my family business. The best thing about my course is it helps to develop the person. The things that could be improved are classrooms, and some more practical work should be provided to students. Many events and extracurricular activities are conducted in our college.

You can switch colleges and take admission in some other college, but you need to check with the college you are targeting to go in. As not every college accept admissions in the 2nd year.
