Class 10th Board Result Pass Percentage 2023 vs 2022, 2021, 2020: A Comparative Analysis

In the last three years, the pass percentages across various board results, for instance, 10th RBSE result 2022, UPMSP result 2023, Kar SSLC results 2023, WBBSE results 2023, JAC 10th results 2023, UK Board 10th results and more, witnessed a major up and down. Let's take a look at a comparative analysis of 10th board exams pass percentages of previous years.
Class 10th Board Exam Pass Percentages: COVID-19 pandemic tremendously affected the board exams across the country. While several National and State board results 2023 are yet to be released, there are many boards that started releasing Class 10 board results 2023. In the last three years, the pass percentages across various board results, for instance, 10th RBSE result 2021, UPMSP result 2023, Kar SSLC results 2023, WBBSE results 2023, JAC 10th results 2023, UK Board 10th results and more, witnessed a major up and down. While board exam 2023 results are yet to be released for all boards, let us look at a comparative analysis of the pass percentages of various state and national boards.
CBSE 10th result: Last years’ pass percentage
CBSE 10th Results 2023 recorded an overall pass percentage of 93.12%. In 2022, CBSE Result 2022 pass percentage stood at 94.40%. In 2021, the Boad recorded the highest-ever CBSE Class 10 pass percentage, i.e. 99.04%, a significant increase from 91.46% in 2020. According to the data released by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), more than two lakh students scored 90% and more marks in 2021. 57,824 students secured 95% and more marks. 99.24% of girls who registered for the CBSE Class 10 exam 2021 were declared pass. Whereas, the passing percentage in CBSE among boys stood at 98.89%. In CBSE region-wise results, Trivandrum topped with 99.99%, followed by Bengaluru and Chennai. Guwahati is at the lowest among all 16 regions of CBSE.

ICSE 10th Results: Last years’ pass percentage
ICSE Results 2023 released on May 14, 2023, recorded an overall pass percentage of 98.94%. Pass percentage of girls stood at 99.21% and Pass percentage of boys was recorded as 98.71%
In 2021, a total of 2,19,499 students appeared for ICSE, of whom 54.1 % were boys and 45.9% were girls. The overall pass percent witnessed a slight increase in 2021, i.e. 99.98 % as compared to 2020, i.e. 99.33%.

State Class 10 Board Results: Last years’ pass percentage
State boards across the country opted for alternative evaluation methods to release higher secondary board results. Several boards opted to promote all students without exams amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. Comparative analysis of the past years’ pass percentages of state boards revealed a distinct increase in pass percentages as compared to the year 2020. The analysis revealed 10th RBSE result 2021, UPMSP result 2021, Kar SSLC results 2022, JKBOSE results, HBSE results 2021, GSEB 10th results and more recorded nearly 100 per cent pass percentages. However, mahresult.nic.in 2021 HSC results, JAC 10th results 2021, UK Board 10th results, and a few more did not record all-time high pass percentages.
