Tamil Nadu 10th Result 2023: TN SSLC Topper Marksheet

The Directorate of Government Examination (DGE) TN released the TN 10th Result 2023 today, May 19, 2023, on the official website, i.e. tnresults.nic.in. Check out some interesting excerpts from the interview below:

Q:   How to prepare for TN 10th exam?
A:

Students are recommended to make a proper time table as per the TN 10th syllabus and prepare accordingly. They are advised to refer to the tips given below.

  • Make short notes
  • Revise regularly
  • Solve TN 10th previous year question papers
  • Know the TN SSLC exam pattern
  • Figure out weaker areas and learn them well

With proper preparation and planning, students can easily clear the TN 10th board exam.

Q:   How can I clear TN 10th exam without studying?
A:

If you do not have time to learn the full syllabus, there are few tips to clear the Tamil Nadu SSLC exam 2025. Learn the questions from the previous year question papers. Note the repeated questions and learn them well. Learn the important topics given by your teachers. Revise the important formulas. These tips will help you to clear the Tamil Nadu SSLC exam. 

Q:   Is Tamil Nadu SSLC exam evaluation strict?
A:

Usually TN SSLC exam evaluation is liberal. In 2025, the overall Pass percentage was 93.8%. Most of the students clear the Tamil Nadu SSLC exam. The pass percentage of Tamil Nadu SSLC exam is higher as compared to other boards. Students need not worry about strict evaluation for Tamil Nadu SSLC exam.

Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?

A: Thank you so much! I am really happy and overwhelmed. While I was expecting more,  I am happy that I didn’t score much less than my expectation. It is a celebrating moment for me and my family.

Q: Please tell us something about your family background.

A: I have four members including me in my family. My father is a Tailor, my mother goes for housekeeping jobs and my elder sister Ramya currently completed her Class 12.

Q: Please tell about the stream that you are targeting

A: I am planning to take medical stream, i.e. Mathematics and Biology

Q: What was your strategy to score above 95%?

A: The strategy was simple, to focus. My only strategy is to wake up early and study with full concentration! Revision and practice is the key to success. I made a proper routine for my preparation and followed the same religiously throughout TN SSLC exams.

Q:   Can I cheat in Tamil Nadu SSLC board exam?
A:

Tamil Nadu board is strictly against the practise of using any unfair means during the examinations. The board is actively working to prevent and discourage any malpractice during board examinations every year. So, you are advised to go through the Tamil Nadu SSLC syllabus and solve as many previous years question papers and sample papers to avoid cheating during the Tamil Nadu SSLC board exams.

Q:   How can I prepare for Tamil Nadu 10th exams 2026?
A:

TN 10th public exams 2026 will be held in March 2026. Students are advised to go through the tips below to perform well in TN SSLC exams 2026. 

  • Understand the syllabus
  • Do revision as per time table
  • Learn text books properly
  • Regular Revision
  • Practice TN 10th Sample Papers and previous year papers
Q:   How do I handle Tamil Nadu 10th board exams pressure?
A:

These are some ways to reduce your stress during exam.

Involve in games or any fun activities. 

Take enough breaks during study.

Do meditation or yoga.

Stay positive.

Share your anxiety with parents or teachers.

Get medical help if needed.

Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?

A: No, I did not take any coaching. My school is my only coaching. I believe that if you pay attention in classroom teaching and do self-study with full concentration, then you won’t need any coaching for any exam.

Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?

A: My parents and my school have been the pillar of strength for me throughout this journey. Despite all odds they have been very supportive and made sure that I get proper time to study and revise.

Q: What was your routine during TN 10th board exam preparation?

A: I used to record all the big questions in an audio format and I hear the things where I need to be corrected, and that helped me a lot for this success today. I made sure that I practice previous year's questions and revise important notes before the exam to score well.

Q: What is your favorite subject?

A: Mathematics is my favorite subject.

Q: Are you planning to begin preparing for any entrance exam?

A: Yes, I preparing and planning to crack NEET.

Q: What is your dream college/institute?

A:  I do not have as such any college or institute in my mind. I just want to study well and hope to get admission to a recognised and reputed college

Q: Please share some tips for students prepping up to appear in Tamil Nadu SSLC Exams 2024

A: Instead of reading in late at night, you can wake up early in the morning; this will results to reach your destination! Students must focus on their revision before exam. I advise to revise their complete syllabus at least ones. Begin your preparation well in time to excel in exams

TN board provides a correction option to students in case their name is misspelled in the marksheet. Students have to inform the school authorities, if any errors are found the marksheet. They will guide you to get the errors rectified.

Yes, questions are of the same pattern as given in the sample papers. Students must also solve and practice the practice questions and previous years question papers as released by the TN board.

No, TN board does not deduct marks for exceeding the word limit in the board exams. However, marks may be deducted for spelling mistakes and other errors in language papers.

Schools do not have the right to withhold admit card of the studnets for TN class 10th board exam. TN SSLC admit card is issued by the Directorate of Government Examination, Tamilnadu. You can reach out to the TN board, if the school do not provide the admit card.
