Students need to appear for 6 subject papers in UPMPS exams. UP Board 10th Class subjects include Music, Agriculture, Home Science, Human Science, Maths, Commerce, Social Science, Computer, Science, and Languages. Total marks of UPMSP class 10 exams is 600. To clear the exam, the students are required to score at least 33% marks in the exam. The students must note that the practical exam is held only in Science paper. Yes, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) generally releases the exam pattern along with the UPMSP Class 10 exam date sheet. For the 2026 exams, the board will published the exam pattern after releasing the UP Board Class 10 date sheet 2026. To stay updated on exam time table and pattern, students are advised to regularly check the official UPMSP website.
As of now, the board has not made any changes in the exam pattern. The exam pattern is expected to be revealed soon in the form of a model question paper. Last year, the board made changes in the exam pattern. As per last year’s update, the students need to answer 70-mark questions. Out of which, 50 marks will be distributed for descriptive-type questions and 20 marks will be for objective-type questions.
The UP Board exam question papers includes objective (multiple choice), very short & short answer, and detailed answer type questions. Objective questions usually carry 1 mark each and are based on the full syllabus. Short and long answer questions require students to explain topics in more detail. This mixed pattern helps to test both understanding and writing ability. Students should practice all types of questions during their preparation.
