Why DTU is worth the hype!
Placements: About 70% of students are placed as of now; due to the recession, the process has become a bit lower, but if one works hard, its still very much achievable. The highest package is 45 LPA, and the average is around 15 LPA. Top companies include Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel, and other telecom companies. Although internships are a little hard to get, if you have studied enough and have a bit of patience, then you will most probably get a good internship. Top roles in the industry include electronics design engineer, software analyst, embedded systems, VLSI design, and engineering.
Infrastructure: The library is top-notch; the only thing is that it gets close at 10 p.m., which would have been better if it remained open 24 hours a day. Mess food and accommodation facilities are okayish and manageable. Sports facilities are also good; mostly you'll find badminton and table tennis indoors; I didn't see chess anywhere.
Faculty: Most teachers are good and helpful, but beware of some pros. The system almost makes you industry-ready; with a little bit of your efforts, you can achieve big things. Semester exams are not that hard; just do the pyqs and study properly at least a week ahead. 35% is the pass percentage.
Other: Fests are the best things in DTU, and if you want a good peer group, beware of the 85%; they are good for exposure and fun-making but not at all serious, mostly.

The DTU college experience in 2024.
Placements: I got an electrical engineering branch allotted at the time of admission. It's a kind of tough course. In 2024, 65% of students got placement. With the highest package of 44 LPA. Average package is approximately 11 LPA this year due to recession. Otherwise, the average package is around 15 LPA.
Infrastructure: In DTU, many facilities are provided, mainly a sports complex, a gym, a theater, two halls, an auditorium, and many more. Hostel is kind of okay. Mess is somewhat small, but taste is good more or less. Inside the campus, a medical centre is there. They care for us like parents.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are great, but some are as strict as they can cut the marks on a very small mistake. They are mostly highly experienced. Course curriculum is old, so everyone is doing something more to be ready for jobs. Semester are tough somewhat.
Other: The fee of the college is higher than expected, according to the government college. Campus life is great. Fest is the life of DTU. These are the best in Delhi.

Good decision to be a part of college.
Placements: Placements in DTU are fine! One can expect a good job in a great mnc company if he has good skills. In mathematics and computing branch 90 percent of students are placed last year with an average package of 15 Lacs per annum all big mnc companies came.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and campus of DTU is great but mess and hostel are not too good. Rent of hostel is quite high compared to other government colleges. Decent facilities are provided by the college like Wi-Fi, canteen, sports court etc. There is a big room for improvement required.
Faculty: Faculty and curriculum are a big drawback in this college. The professors are least qualified and don't have knowledge to teach. Semester exams are easy and some days of study before exams can get u good grades. -no, it does not make u industry ready.

Our college has the best campus life you could ever get.
Placements: Around 55% were placed from our college this year. As we know, DTU is known for its campus life, and placements are decent. So we had 90 LPA, the highest package from CSE department this year. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc.
Infrastructure: Our department is very decent in terms of infrastructure. We have fully air-conditioned classrooms with high-speed Wi-Fi connections, and our library is an ocean of books. Boys hostels are very poor, but girls hostels are decent enough, and sports facilities are excellent.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified but not really helpful, as I think they do not teach well. So basically, teaching quality is poor. But yes, the course curriculum is very good, as they make students industry-ready. Here we have very helpful seniors, as they help in every aspect.

Good placements, really good infrastructure and facilities. And a big sports complex .
Placements: A good amount of students are placed every year, and with an average amount of packages, as far as I know. The average package for B.Tech in mechanical engineering is around 13 lacs, which is higher than last year. Maruti is a well-known company that hires students from this branch.
Infrastructure: The food quality is pretty good, and the library is spacious to do important work, and the canteen provides a variety of food, from junk to healthy, and beside that, there is a big hall and an auditorium, which helps to conduct the orientation to a good level so that more people can join.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and have knowledge about their own subject, which helps a lot, and the way of teaching is quite good, especially the labs, which help a lot to visualize the phenomena that take place in everyday life, and a tutorial lecture also takes place to clear the doubts of students in particular subjects.

DTU BTech 2024 FAQs

Q:   How is DTU for B.Tech?

A:

DTU ranked 29 under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF 2023. There are many IITs ranked before DTU under the same category. Also, it competes against the top-notch NITs and second-phase IITs in several specialisations of BTech. Hence, it is safe to say that DTU is as good as an IIT or an NIT in northern India. In fact, The Times Rankings 2022 ranked DTU number 1 in the Delhi NCR region for 'Engineering' category.

DTU BTech students are placed in top companies like Samsung, Microsoft, Zomato, and others. Also the BTech fee is not very high. To clear JEE Main, candidates must study according to the JEE Main syllabus and appear for as many JEE Main mock tests as possible.
