UP Board Passing Marks 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is expected to declare the UP Board Result 2026 for class 10 and 12 in the third/fourth week of April 2026. UPMSP prescribes the UP Board class 10, 12 passing marks, grading system and passing criteria for the students. Students preparing for the upcoming UP Board 10th exams and UP Board 12th exams must be aware of the UP Board passing marks 2026 and grading system and prepare for the exams accordingly. UPMSP conducted the UP Board class 10 and 12 exams between February 18 and March 12, 2026. Every year, around 29 lakh of students appear for UP 10th exams. In, a total of 55,08,206 students have applied for UPMSP Board Examinatin 2025 Class 10 and 12, down from 58,84,634 the year 2024. In 2023, a total of 31,16,487 students registered for the UP 10th exam. Out of the registered students, 2,08,953 students did not appear for the UPMSP Matric exams. As per the officials, UP Board 10th result 2024 had an overall pass percentage of 89.55%. A total of 86.05% of boys passed the exam while 93.40% of girls cleared the exam. What are the Passing Marks in UP Board High School and Intermediate?

To clear the UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations, students must know the UP Board High School and Intermediate passing criteria. The UP Board exam evaluation is done on the basis of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern. UP Board 10th Result mark sheet comprises grades for each subject based on the UP Board 10th grading system. Under CCE, all the theory exams carry a weightage of 70 marks while the practical and internal tests carry 30 marks. As per CCE evaluation criteria, if a student is unable to clear one subject except for Hindi, then they will be declared pass in UP Board 10th examinations.

If a candidate is unable to clear two subjects then they can appear in compartment examinations. But, if one is unsuccessful to clear 3 subjects then they can appear in only 3 subjects in the next academic year. UP class 10 passing criteria for both theory and practical exams are provided below:

To secure an A1 grade in UPMSP 10th exam, the students need to obtain a percentage of marks between 91-100 while to secure an A2 grade, the students need to score marks between 81-90.

How to calculate UP Board Grade Point Average using percentage?

To calculate Grade Points, students must use the following formula:
CGPA Formula = Total of grade points obtained in subjects / Total number of subjects.
