Lovely Professional University BTech course is a four year UG level engineering course which is offered in full-time mode. BTech at LPU, Jalandhar is offered in eleven specialisations which include BTech in CSE, ME, EEE, ECE, EE, Biotechnology, etc.

- Intergrated Courses: An intergrated course for five years is offered at LPU including BTech and MTech in Urban Regional Planning.

The total fee for BTech range from INR 4.5 lakh - INR 36 lakh. Admission to BTech course is based on LPUNEST or CUET UG scores. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted aspirants need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission. Candidates need to first register with an application fee (INR 1,000 for males) and (INR 500 for females) for LPUNEST.
LPU BTech (Hons) course is available in three specialisations. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English or equivalent as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate can apply for any of the BTech (Hons) specialisations. Lovely Professional University BTech fees structure is comprised of eight installments of tuition, hostel and examination fees and some one-time payments such as caution deposit and admission processing charges. Candidates are charged highest amount of LPU BTech fees for its CSE specialisation. In cases where a candidate chooses to cancel their BTech admission, they might receive refunds for LPU fees according to UGC norms. Tabulated below are refund rules derived from UGC norms:

Lovely Professional University fee for the BTech (Robotics and Automation) course is INR 1.8 Lacs for 2026-27 academic session. The university can revise its fee structure is any admission year. This fee amount is as per the official website. Candidates who get selected need to pay admission fee or the first semester fee to confirm seats. The university also provide scholarship to students based on LPUNEST scores.
LPU NEST application form fee for a soft copy of the LPU NEST 2026 Kit is INR 1000 for boys and girls. The printed copy of the LPU NEST Kit is available for INR 1500 for boys and girls. The application fee can be paid online if the application form is filled out online. The application fee can be given as a demand draft if the application form is submitted offline. If the DD is not enclosed or DD is wrongly drawn, the application form will not be accepted. The application fee has to be paid to submit the application form.

The LPUNEST phase 6 exam was held from August 4 to 20, 2026. LPUNEST phase 5 exam was scheduled between July 6-31, 2026.
LPUNEST 2026 phase 4 exam started on June 6 for both test centre and remote-proctored mode. The last exam date was June 30.
The LPU NEST phase 3 exam 2026 started remote proctored exam and test centre exam on May 4, 2026. Exam last date was May 20, 2026.

Lovely Professional University BTech Admission and Application Process 2026
Candidates who apply for Lovely Professional University BTech course admissions are selected on entrance basis. Before a candidate can complete, LPU, Jalandhar BTech application process, candidates will need a valid CUET-UG or JEE Main result. However, in the absence of this, candidates will be required to register for LPUNEST to qualify for BTech admission.

STEP 1: Lovely Professional University Application Process
- Go to Lovely Professional University's website.
- Click on Apply Now and fill registration form.
- Login, choose preferred BTech course and complete filling admission form.
- Upload all requested documents.
- Pay Lovely Professional University BTech application fees of INR 1,000.

STEP 2: Selection of Candidates
LPU, Jalandhar will begin shortlisting process shortly after LPUNEST results are released. Candidates who apply through JEE Main or CUET-UG will also receive their admission result at this point where cutoffs for each exam is determined.
A score higher than set cutoff must be obtained to be shortlisted for admission. Selected candidates will have their names appear on a merit list and are issued provisional admission letters.
STEP 3: Confirmation of Admission
At the end of admission process, candidates are asked to pay admission fees for confirming their BTech seat. This fees is mentioned on a candidate's admission letter along with a deadline for payment. Alongside this fees, candidates also need to pay admission processing charges of INR 10,000. Once all these payments are made, document verification begins following which, LPU admission comes to an end.

Candidates can go to LPU official website for LPUNEST BTech exam slot booking. Students have to select an exam date and shift to appear for the examination. The slot booking can be done in two ways. It can either be done by the candidate itself or the university.

For B.Tech CSE, I'd prefer Thapar Institute if you can afford it. LPU generally offers more scholarship routes, including up to 60% through certain LPUNEST/academic criteria, while Thapar's 2026–27 merit scholarships can include full tuition plus development fee waiver for top JEE Main performers.

If I had to pick one, I’d go with Galgotias University for MBA because of its NCR location, industry exposure, practical learning, and overall opportunities. LPU, Thapar, GLAU, and Sharda are also worth considering, but GU can be a solid choice.
