NBSAT is an online national-level entrance exam for admission in MBA & PGDM, conducted by Narayana Business School, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in December & January every year. Candidates who are looking forward to pursuing MBA or PGDM with dual specializations can appear in this entrance examination.
Registration for NBSAT begins in August mid every year & one can apply on the official website of Narayana Business School. Candidates can register for the same through the online link (https://nbsat.nbs.edu.in). Passing through the minimum eligibility criteria which are, passing graduation with more than 60%. If you would have studied computer applications, IT engineering, or statistics before then that would add to as an advantage if you choose one of your specializations of PGDM under Data Science & Analytics. If you have done your bachelors in finance, economics, or statistics then it could act as an advantage for your PGDM Qualitative Program.
NBSAT is an aptitude entrance test curated by Narayana Business School. It is divided into four sections. Each of these sections includes Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy, Analytical Reasoning, and Vocabulary Analytical Reasoning. NBS Ahemdabad offers a two-year MBA + PGPCE course, which is affiliated with GTU. This course's curriculum is designed in such a way that students get both theoretical and practical knowledge in the same course. In MBA, students learn all about the theoretical aspects of the subjects, whereas in the PGPCE course, students learn the field expertise in practical ways. The institute also provides a three-month internship opportunity at the end of the first year to its students.
NBSAT is an online Proctored Online Test that has a duration of 120 mins. It is an objective-based test thus all you require to do is understand the situation/question and choose the best-fit answer for the same. It has no negative marking; thus, it becomes feasible for the candidates to attempt all the questions.
NBSAT is an online entrance exam, and this will allow candidates to opt for all the questions. The difficulty level for NBSAT is almost at par with CAT, XAT, NMAT, and many more. NBSAT Eligibility
The minimal eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled for appearing in NBSAT for all the different courses have been listed below:
- PGDM (Data Science & Analytics) - It is a post-Graduation degree in IT engineering, Computer Applications or Statistics
- PGDM (Quantitative Finance) - It is a post-Graduation degree in finance, statistics, or economics
- PGDM – Dual Specialization - It is a post-Graduation degree from Narayana Business Scholl with specialization in two fields, either finance, Marketing, HR, or Operations
- MBA + PGPCE - It is a Master’s in Business Administration

NBSAT Selection Process
After the NBSAT results, shortlisted candidates will be having Personal Interviews and Group Discussions based on their overall entrance exam score. The dates for this process will be informed to the candidates by NBS. It is mandatory to clear the GD-PI round if you want to be eligible for admission to all the distinct courses provided by NBS.
Only the candidates who have applied and qualified in NBSAT + GD-PI would be considered eligible for the generation of the final merit list. The candidate who does not apply or misses any one of the components will automatically be considered ineligible for the selection process.

NBSAT Exam Pattern
NBSAT is curated to calculate a candidate's ability in Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy (DI & DA), Quantitative Techniques (QT), Vocabulary, Analytical Reasoning (AR), and Comprehension. NBSAT covers all the topics that have been covered in other major entrance exams like XAT, CAT, MAT, GMAT, and many more. NBSAT 2022 would be comprised of four categories each with 20-30 questions.
