What is NBSAT?
Narayana Business School Admission Test or NBSAT is a common entrance test conducted by Narayana Business School for admission to its PGDM/MBA programmes. NBSAT is a two-hour online proctored test that can be taken from home. The NBSAT comprises questions from Quantitative Techniques (QT), Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy (DI & DA), Vocabulary & Analytical Reasoning (AR) and Reading Comprehension (RC). NBSAT is a holistic entrance test which aims to assess the candidate on two parameters:
- Aptitude Skills (55%) which includes assessment of quantitative ability, reasoning, language, and business awareness.
- Holistic Skills (45%) which includes assessment of candidate's creativity, innovation, ethical reasoning, and real-world decision-making.

NBSAT Eligibility Criteria 2027
Check below the academic requirement for NBSAT:
- Candidate should be a graduate with minimum of 50 per cent marks or equivalent from a recognised university/institute
- Candidates appearing for final year exam of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications are also eligible to apply
- Candidates who have scored (CAT ≥ 75, XAT ≥ 70, CMAT ≥ 80, NMAT ≥ 180) will not have to appear for NBSAT.
- Candidates having CA/CA/ICWS degree are also eligible to apply if they meet the minimum score requirement.
Eligibility Criteria for PGDM Data Science
- Candidate must have studied Mathematics/Statistics at class 12 level. Bachelor’s degree in IT Engineering, Computer Applications or Statistics is desirable.
Eligibility Criteria for PGDM Quantitative Finance
- The candidate must have studied Mathematics/Statistics at Class 12 level. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Engineering or Economics is desirable.

NBSAT is conducted phase wise in remote proctored mode. Candidates are allotted an exam date and slot once they submit the application form. NBSAT 2026 registration is underway and candidates will be given a test slot as and when they submit the form.

For every question 1 mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking in exam, so for incorrect attempts, 0 marks will be awarded.
For NBSAT remote proctoring test, candidates will need a functional laptop/desktop with camera and mic. The internet connection should be fast and uninterrupted.
There is no sectional time limit in NBSAT. Candidates have to divide the time by themselves keeping in mind the section they find easy and tough.

NBSAT 2027 Selection Process
After the NBSAT 2027 Exam, candidates who qualify will be selected for the second round of the admission process. NBS selection and shortlisting process for MBA/PGDM process includes psychometric profiling and personal interview. Candidates have to appear for and clear this round to be eligible for admission to NBS. The cut off for final shortlisting is 50 per cent in NBSAT but it may vary different programmes based on candidate’s overall score.

NBSAT 2027 FAQs

It is not mandatory to attempt all the questions in NBSAT. Candidates can choose to answer only those questions that they can answer correctly. Overall, they must aim to attempt 2/3 of the total questions.
NBSAT application fee can be paid online through net banking, UPI payment and credit/debit card transaction.
NBSAT syllabus includes Quant & Data Interpretation, Logical & Analytical Reasoning, Business & Economic Awareness, Communication & Language Proficiency, Creativity & Innovation and Decision-Making & Ethical Reasoning. To cover the syllabus, candidates might require 2-3 months if they haven't studied the subjects before.
There is no provision of application form correction in NBSAT. Candidates have to fill a fresh form if they make any error. Thus, it is advised that candidates fill the application form carefully and correctly.
Candidates must sit in a well lit room for the NBSAT. There must be no disturbance during the exam. Candidates are not supposed to move away from their seat or switch off the camera at any point of time. They should not use any secondary material to attempt the questions.
NBSAT application fee is non-refundable. Candidates cannot ask for fee refund in case you have made error in the form and fill a new one, or even if you choose to not appear for the exam.
