Review of Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Around 30% of students got placed in our college. Many students got placed in famous companies like eNaOH, etc. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Top roles offered are digital marketing, etc.

Infrastructure: The hostel is not suitable during the rainy season. The hostel building is not good. The food served in the hostel is not acceptable. Wi-Fi facility is not available in the hostel.

Faculty: Our faculty members care about our careers. A few teachers don't care about students. They only care about marks. They teach life lessons. I cleared my Maths paper in engineering because of Punitha mam.

The college overall is good but the campus is small.

Placements: All the students get placements, but salary is low. Not enough companies visit the campus, but students get jobs. In our college, many government exams are conducted in our college.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was good but the library was very small. Auditorium was not okay. Hostel rooms but not satisfactory. Not value for money. Hostel seniors are good. The hostel bathrooms are not cleaned properly.

Faculty: The faculty is nice and good at teaching. Curriculum is good but more teaching staff is required. Their teaching for exams is good. Smart classes ae there. Sports activities are held.

Infrastructure, mentors and placements are good in our college.

Placements: More than 70% of the students got placed in our batch. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA to 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our college are L&T, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant and TCS also. We are allowed to attend many internships. Top roles offered to the students are associate, software developer, sales executive and technical support.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our food court and library, and the library is filled with good books. Many labs are available in our college, and classrooms are also big. Hostel food is good, and they also serve non-vegetarian food for 2 to 3 days. The food court was awesome with stationery. They give good training in sports, and enough medical facilities are available here.

Faculty: All faculty members and tutors have good knowledge and are friendly. The number of staff members is also more, and they teach very well. They give appropriate notes. The course is helpful and relevant. Semester exams are mostly easy and moderate, but sometimes it is also difficult.

Other: I have chosen this course because I can start my career within core subjects and software also. Everything is good. Our college conducts many events, and they also provide scholarships.

Our college provides very good environment to study.

Placements: The highest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. L&T and Infotech were the top recruiting companies in our college. Testing of VLS technology, testing engineer, system analyst, junior engineer, and service engineer are the roles offered. Nearly 90% of the students got an internship from our course in both core and non-core companies.

Infrastructure: The food served was hygiene, and the environment on the campus was neat, peaceful, and green. It is a smoke-free zone, and the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. We had a gym facility, and more number of books were available in the library with the latest journals and it contains competitive exam books also. We had sufficient sports ground and playing materials. We had good classrooms.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful, and most of them were doctorates or doing Ph.D. Teachers were very friendly and closely monitoring. In our department, the teaching was excellent in both practical and theoretical. Lab coaching i.e., practical experience of teaching was excellent.

Other: The environment on the campus was good. The college provided many scholarships.

It is an absolutely good college for placements.

Placements: Reputed companies our college to provide placement opportunities for students. Our college provides some of the best placements in Coimbatore. Last year, about 80% of the students got placed with salary packages of about 2 LPA. Companies Like SmartDV, Infosys, T&VS, etc., visit the campus for placements. About 90% of the students got internships in many companies. Our college has a placement cell. It is very useful for all the students to develop knowledge about interviews and know about companies visiting the college for placements.

Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled; you can get Wi-Fi facilities everywhere. Our college provides internet facilities for using computers with the help of personal internet password. Our college provides a well-furnished library with books of all the sections. Our college has a sports academy. Every year, our college conducts sports day and other tournaments. We have well-furnished labs for computers, electronics and mechanical branches. Quality of food served is good considering the low mess fee. However, they provide good food. Hostel rooms are well furnished with 4 members per room. The hostel rooms are equipped with 2 fans, chairs, and writing tables. There are no issues regarding the infrastructure of the college.

Faculty: All the teachers in college are well-educated and qualified. The quality of teaching is excellent when compared to other colleges. They conduct classes through smart class and Greenboard. They give a lot of knowledge about the subject and other related queries. The course curriculum is very useful.

Other: Events like tech day, annual day, sports day, hostel day, Pongal festival, and Onam festival, are conducted in our college. Scholarships are available for students who score marks above 170 in higher secondary. They are offered a 25% scholarship. Students with marks above 180 get 50% scholarships in fees. Students who score above 8 CGPA, get Rs. 500 monthly. Students who score above 9 CGPA get Rs. 1,000 per month. Our college conducts extracurricular activities like many competitions.

Other: My name is Vishnu and I am a 2014 passed out ECE student from this college. I'll tell you about my college point by point. LOCATION: The college is located in Kinnathukadavu a small town which is 24km away from Coimbatore and 18 km away from Pollachi. From both these locations many govt. and private bus service are there to reach the college. The town is not that much developed town, you can see only some small hotels and small stores around here. INFRASTRUCTURE The college is running in 3 buildings - Mechanical, Civil, Electrical department is in one building. Electronics and Computer science students are in other building. The 3rd building was opened recently for Mechatronics and all. The computer labs are airconditioned and ECE labs are also good but not sufficient instruments are there in the labs so you need to form some groups depending upon the strength to do one experiment. Remember labs are the most important part of an engineering life. EDUCATION & FACULTY Most of the staff in this colleges are fresh M.tech graduates without any teaching experience and some staffs are little bit experienced. So teaching is very poor. In good colleges professors will give detail lecture about the concepts and they will go but here as the staff is also learning the subjects along with students they will bring the book and write the concepts on the board and they will disappear. Lab sessions also not different. It’s a pure mug up teaching. So no hope for doubt clearance sessions. A daily exam for 1hour will be there every day and if u fail in the exam u need to stay back after the college to rewrite the exam. So guys beware of this exam it will ruin your campus life HOSTEL and MESS Separate hostels are there for boys and girls. Girls hostel is surrounded by 4side compound walls and a security also there for the girls hostel. Hostels are spacious furnished with bed, table, chair and a shelf for every student. Only common bathrooms are there. Mess food is somewhat average but the cleanliness is poor. They will provide breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner for the hostel fees you paid. No separate bill is there for mess so eat as much as you can. Facilities No good canteen is there in the college to eat food for non-hostel students and to hang out with friends in the break time. No Wi-Fi, gymnasium, indoor games are there. Outdoor games : only cricket and football. Ro drinking water is provided. College buses to Coimbatore, Pollachi and Palakkad. Placements Poor and worst placements. They will bring you only BPO and ITES companies and they will print 100% placements. If u see Infosys, tech Mahindra etc. in the brochure beware it is BPO recruitment. Don't join this college if u want placements in some good companies.
